And just to continue the comment...even if they half as good as they are, they are truly inexpensive...if it breaks you can replace it without taking out a second mortgage...IMO that speaks wonders for the axe....it is great for a beginner or an expert....I have some arthritis in my fingers now and it is the only one that I can play without pain.
I have played for over 40 years...I have a LP Studio....an EPI LP Standard....a Gibson SG (Faded Brown) and a EPI G400(some modifications).....I can tell you from experience, no matter what people may say on here is that the EPI's hold their own. Actually playing the EPI is easier than playing the Gibson SG....the neck is seems a little thinner...much more comfortable to play....to be honest I take both the Gibson and the EPI to gigs...and always wind up playing the EPI throughout the session.

I tell you because I'm in a band and one person i know has this guitar and the neck it's not very fast or comfortable. But after all it's a very good sounding guitar, so I hope I have helped you.

I just bought this beauty a few weeks ago.Really solidly built.A few reviews have said it plays just like a Gibson when comparing.Your getting a Les Paul head stock and neck and a SG body.This guitar sounds awesome clean and dirty.Great demo and playing from Will.(Love the first riff)But you can't really hear the many great tones this guitar has in this video.A fantastic guitar for any kind of music for $400 Canadian.Great for blues.Looks beautiful in person.Try one out.

@CaptainHurpDurp I own this guitar and I popped off the pickup covers in the bridge and middle position. It definitely made the pickups "crunchier" and more responsive (though probably not as distorted as the high-output EMGs)

Mr.Les Paul actually saw one of the first SG at window at a guitar store.He did not like the style,called Gibson and said its not my guitar.And wanted his name taken out.My Uncle has SG w/Les paul name on it.WOW.He wont sell it but might auction it of one of this day.Clean, no dents,of whatsover.He just collects them,Plays it for while,then store it,Among his Les Paul Gibson,Fender,SG's.He has collected over the years.
