  • yay!!! congratssssss.. your hair looks great and healthy.. we have the same hair type lol.. and i love ur bedroom set.. i love my dark/black wood :D

  • Your hair looks FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks sooo gorgeous and I'm lovin it on u

  • It's so beautiful! Your hair grows really fast. Natural Hair is wonderful! I BC'ed 1 year ago, best decision I ever made.

  • Congrats on the BC! I agree, going natural was the best thing I could have ever done to my hair. I usually keep my in protective styles (twist or braids) and blow dry before I do so. It has been 16 months since I bc'd and 19 months since my last perm.

  • @SANP51407 Yeah I am loving the growth, wow 16 months I am sure your hair has flourished!

  • VERY PRETTY, IVE BEEN NATURAL 4 ABT 1 YEAR NOW & IM JUST GETTING TO WHERE I THINK IM READY 2 WEAR MY NATURAL HAIR SUMTIMES!! GREAT VID! :)

  • @SuperDiva365 I know it is an adjustment!

  • you look beautiful !! new subbie here !!

  • @Mrsgeminigirl Thanks!

  • do you keep ur hair braided under ur lace wigs? how often do u rmove ur lace wigs? does the glue n tape break ur edges..please answer all questions..thanks

  • @epd0126 I usuallu have it under a stocking cap gelled down. The shrinkage is pretty intense so I am able to gel it down, and use two stocking caps. I don't normally glue my wigs down so my edges are fine.

  • You look great! Keep doing what makes feel comfortable. I BC"d about a year ago, and let it grow for a while, but decided I like it better short! It's easier upkeep, and when I rock my wigs I don't have to worry about my hair making the wig look "puffy". I co-wash every other day and deep condition once a month. I use the KC because I find it has a better curl defiinition for my 4B hair. I use JBCO weekly as a hot oil treatment also.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • OMG!!!!!!! I missed something, I didn't see it coming, but your hair looks great!! I can see you with the full 'fro. Can you do a video rocking it? I bet it looks good on you.

  • I am happy for you. I have been going natural for a year and two month's now and I have up's and down's with it but I know I will get it right and this year is the it for me to get it right.

  • your hair looks very healthy

  • I am so happy for you. Contuine the good work.

  • congrats!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I normally wear wigs myself but I just recently started wearing my hair in a slick back ponytail with a drawstring puff or kinky ponytail just to go with my natural curl pattern. I can never get my hair into a fully slick, wet look even with Eco styler. But I usually use 100% aloe vera gel and 100% natural shea butter

  • Glad you are back! love the new look!

  • Good to see you back! I just so happened to run up on your vid! Congrats to you and your natural journey. You look fabu!

  • Congrats on your hair!! I love it. I haven't relaxed since June 3, 2011(the day of my oldest daughter's hs grad). I had begun slowly chopping the relaxer off in August (my hair grows pretty fast) and it's been in micro braids since mid October- this 2nd set is coming down this week, I'm anxious to see how much is going on in here. I believe we have the same hair type- shrinkage is ridiculous. Here's hoping I've got some serious "fro-age" lol. Congrats again!!

  • Oooops! I forgot to mention that your bedroom looks FANTASTIC!!! THANK YOU for being a grown women and CLEANING your room BEFORE taping a video!!! lol.....LUV the furniture also....

  • @dweakley1 Ahh thanks I love my bedroom one of my fans in the house, thanks for noticing :)

  • LOL! " STRAIGHT FROM THE MOTHALAND"....I feeel ya!!! I'm a Cream of Nature chic and I do mini-twist.

  • Wow! The hair is so full and healthy looking!

  • Awesome!! And in 8 months??? I am getting more and more convinced!

  • You look beautiful. I've been natural my whole life, but I understand the dependency on wigs/weaves/braids. It can be difficult adjusting to natural hair. Hopefully you'll get to the point where you feel more comfortable wearing it out! If you don't want to wear the puff to work, try some more "conservative" styles. Naturals on YT have some great work styles!

  • Very becoming! You look so cute and your hair is gorgeous!$

  • Your hair looks wonderful. It's also great that u did it at this stage as a lot of women go natural after years of relaxer damage especially to the hairline. Yours looks healthy and full. I went from relaxer to loose natural to locs.

  • Congrats on your BC!! The more you play with syling and what works for you hair the more comfortable you are with it. There are so many great natural hair stylist on the YT...browse and have fun with your hair! BTW are you planning on attending any meetups, networking with others really helps. I want to network more with other naturals.

  • Congrats! I Bc'd on 4/1/2011...I wore wigs for the first 7 or 8 months too. It really is a life changer and takes awhile to get use to. I have no regrets whatsoever. I think you would look cute with a twist out. One thing I didn't do is become a product junkie hahaha...you have to use products that work for your hair type.

  • but the texture is really pretty.

  • I love your hair! It's so thick and pretty! I was thinking about buying some kinky curly custard. I would love it if you would do a video on this. I thought it would be a good summer time look. Stay sweet and stay blessed!

  • CONGRATS...I HAVEN'T GOTTEN TO THAT POINT AS YET...POST 6 MOS. N I'M GOING TO WORK WITH WHAT I HAVE FOR A LITTLE WHILE. :)

  • Your hair is cute. I gradually transitioned for a year before just chopping the rest of the relaxed ends off in jan 2011. my last relaxer was sept 2009 but i decided to start transitioning jan 2010 after taking out some braids i had in. i should have bc'd from the get go.This has been the best decision i ever made. i love my natural hair and so does hubby :-)

  • I love it! You got the earrings goin' and everythang...lol! There are sooo many styles out there once you start looking into it. I would say just pick one technique (i.e. braid-out, twist-out or wash n' go) and just focus on getting it to where you like it. Then move on to the next one. I've been natural for over two years and my main problem is keeping my hands out of my hair..lol. There are so many options. You will probably find some nice do's for work too. Good luck and congrats! :)

  • Lovely.

  • Girrrl YOU ARE JUST TOO CUTE FOR WORDS! I am officially inspired and pray I am just as cute.

  • I just bought some coconut oil yesterday. I heard it was good for hair. I can't wait to hear your experiences using it.

  • Its very becoming! I love it.

  • Lol @ straight from the Motherland. Congrats girl. I big chopped 2 months ago after transitioning for 8.5 months. Love it!!

  • I hope you really like your hair. For some reason its sounds like your trying to convince yourself. Just based on the words coming out of your mouth. I thing it lovely. Its very becoming. Why would you not wear your hair to work like that?

  • @akapam57 No I love my hair, its just I have never worn it like this for 34 years...so it will take a minute to adjust :)

  • Congrats! It looks great, suits you very well :)

  • Very nice look and suits you well.

  • Looks really healthy. Looks good on you. It brings out your pretty features!

  • Wow! Your hair is sooooo cute! Very flattering...you look great. I agree with you, great decision on your part. I still have about 3 inches of heat damage that I really need to let go of; you've given me inspiration. Thanks for sharing.:-)

  • Very flattering.

  • You are my hair twin! It appears we have the same hair texture. I have been wearing wigs for the past six months, but the first day, I wore this same style I received so many compliments. I use Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in Conditioner, ECO Styler Gel with Argan Oil, ON Organic Natural Oil-Free 'Curl-n-Wavy' Curl Defining Conditioner & Detangler along with Elasta QP Glaze for the short hairs around my hairline.

  • Congrats!! I bc'd May 6th 2011 a week shy of a one year transition. If I had to do it all over again, I would've bc'd from the gate. .lol Your hair looks really good. . .thickness for days! Really looking forward to watching your natural hair journey! BTW, What's different for you this time versus the last time you were natural?

  • @MsChanteJ72 I wasn't natural before this is my first time!

  • You look lovely! Great job with your hair it looks so pretty!
