  • y don't you just use a drill press?

  • A drill press would work for straight 0 degree notches. However, the majority of notching is done at different angles. You need some sort of jig to hold or cut the tubing at an angle... thus a tube notcher.

  • My drill press has a tilting table with degrees and an indicator it works great as a notcher.

    this notcher is faster then your drill press & more accurate & easier to setup

    the offsets are all marked from center and repeatable

    sure a couple of V blocks and clamps will do it with a drill press
