Budha wasn't a god or creator, rather he was just a wise dude (And as buddhists will tell you , anyone can become buddha if they manage to achieve enlightenment). However it IS often accompanied by religious beliefs, including various gods (often brought over from hinduism) and the like. Really the only thing a Zen buddhist, and a Tibetan buddhist , have in common , is , well, the budhism bit.
