  • I added this to my favorites as a sound track to blast over my neighbor's annoying Spanish music. I always win! Now I've grown fond of this.

  • any body else jolt up when the song/video abruptly ended?

  • @bluespunkandirt Read your comment. Still did.

  • So much doom here.

  • Um....what is this?

  • @asdFRap You'd be suprised how many loyal fans this band has.

  • sounds so alive. not a polished studio sound, just raw drone.

  • best halloween soundtrack ever

  • i think the only fans this band has, lie themselves is good music just so they can like an underground obscure band

  • @asdFRap i think its fucking stupid for you to even care about this band. sence you obviously don't like them

  • It's sun O, not 0. Lol, what a plebeian.

  • guys my speakers aren't working all I hear is BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • @SuperCrazyMetalHead I heared that these guys live are more along the lines of life changing

  • I´m going to be insane! But in a positive and lustfull way!

  • I am really digging this music. Happy to have discovered this band now. I love ambient music in general, but this has such a menacing edge to it. Stuff of nightmares.

  • i need this album on vinyl but its so fucking hard to find, such a shame. out of all of their material this is one of my favourite sunn tracks i think, maybe like second to the Decay tracks

  • Is it possible to enjoy this song if you're not gay?

  • @Vicferist Is it possible to use "gay" as a pejorative without looking like you're totally repressed? There's nothing wrong with people's sexuality. It's 2011, figure it out already!

    oh, and the song's awesome.

  • @ofsemisanddinos I totally got it. Have fun ;^), I am sure you will ;-)

  • @ofsemisanddinos Morality doesnt change depending on the year

  • Is it possible to enjoy this son if you're not gay?

  • how does anyone listen to this without being stoned? if i had great speakers and a fat bowl i could totally dig this shit.

  • @smackythefirst i am right now dude and its fucking wicked :)

  • @deathbox91 ITS SOMETHING FOR EROIN ADDICTED SO........AWSOME

  • What an epic intro It's like an uphill rollercoaster o.O

  • Sunn0))) is Metal/Drone/Punk/Sludge/Soundtrack/Ambient ie, pure cross genre brilliance.

To prove its as much metal as anything else, turn up all your speakers as loudly as possible and tell me this isn't heavier than anything you've ever heard before.

    MAXIMUM VOLUME FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS!!!!

  • @ugli1 Punk!? I'm not seeing that. I'm hearing ambient-doom drone metal

  • @esca8652 - its more the attitude than the style of music, try hunting down some early live video's or recordings (or better still, hunt down some old Earth or Melvins video's) and then you'll see the punk element. Happy Hunting.

  • eat my ass punk ass niggercunt

  • Sunn o))) is great!!

  • In response to the other comments, I don't refer to it as "drone metal", I refer to it as just drone. When I think of drone metal, I think of stuff like Taarma and bands that use really slow tremolo picked riffs and deep, slow vocals.

  • fuck the world

    this shit is dope

  • @ACURSIVEMEMORYx fuck the deliberatly limited circumstances not the world

    NL

  • I don't get it.

  • I don't understand what classifies this as "metal". it's just a bunch of noise with some feedback. it sounds like someone set their guitar down with a lot of gain cranked through the amp and went off to eat for ten minutes. this could be any genre; why's it "metal"? should be called "guitar noise"

  • This is classified as metal because of the darkness, the riffiness, and the focus on the electric guitar. The main inspiration from it came from other genres of metal.

I agree with you that it has little in common with what you would consider metal to be, but you have to take into account how the original metal band: Black Sabbath, had no screaming or blastbeats, yet we now consider those to be vital parts of most metal music.

  • I considered the dark atmosphere of this as maybe giving it a somewhat metal edge, but then you look to movie soundtracks such as Nightmare on Elm Street and such and that's not metal. Screaming and blast beats don't have to be a part of metal either, it's just prevalent in more extreme genres. I consider Black Sabbath to be just as metal as Necrophagist. I've set my guitar down with the distortion on, went to the bathroom, came back and thought Sunn O))) was playing on my computer in the past.
