I always thought this was a good scene, certainly chilling. The main issue I have with it is that anyone was left alive. It seems that the SAS were almost interrupted by the helicopters firing their missiles. I think in reality SAS would recon the whole area both pre and post assault. They surely would check that all enemy contacts were indeed 'neutralised'. The fact that even one person was left alive would almost certainly be considered mission failure by the SAS.
That's a load of bullshiznit. They would never lauch missiles while the ground unit members are that close. Some of them go off right by the SAS team, they would be dead or so messed up they would need to be carried out. It makes for a good movie but it's nothing like reality. They use choppers to attack? No.It's funny when you watch something like this in a movie or on TV and you know the reality is so much different. A better movie that features this kind of stuff is "Body of Lies".

@Rayvyn007 Yes, the missiles while personnel are still so close is ridiculous.

@mikecane2008 and why send in a ground team, when you can just use missiles from the outset?

@blueray1969 The movie shows the nature and tech of modern warfare. Supposed to be chilling.

@Rayvyn007 Thank God this is a work of fiction then.

@hedorah99 Actually sometimes they DO launch missiles or arty shells that close to troops and friendly fire incidents happen.
