In an all out war like WW2 I think the US is the best but we have trouble with guerilla warfare.
Everyone is talking shit about the US in Afghanistan and Iraq but don't forget the Soviets literally got their asses kicked in Afghanistan. They lost thousands of soldiers and had to retreat. Not to mention all the aircraft and vehicles they lost. The US is only "losing" due to politics at home.

i wouldnt say UKs problem is deploying in a hurry, take a look at the falcklands war. They shiped an entire army to the other side of the world and won while being based on aircraft carriers. The problem with the brits is their lack of numbers, small country= small population

Why would the US attack Russia? Since the fall of the Soviet Union and communism in Russia and eastern europe Russia has been very good and not invaded other countries. The US did not even have to fire one bullet to defeat Russia. The US military is not as big as Russias but the US military has always been better trained, better motivated, better leadership and command, and many many years advanced in weapons technology. Its all up to Russia and what they want or not want to do.
