  • Heh, Russ just did my hair today =) And proceeded to tell me about these videos. Had to watch!

  • Yea, and the kids today think it is "new"....

  • Lol. That's just like me. The Goth who likes punk music with a huge music collection.

  • 1:38 devilock! I rip your eyes out of hell!

  • I always thought Septic Death was the only band from Idaho?

  • @MrChattyO O ...not lmao

  • What about State of Confusion?

  • This is shocking. A news report in the 1980s about something like hardcore punk on a local station in Idaho is NOT a sensationalized bunch of Reagan-endorsed junk??? Who knew?

  • I bet cliff green is an accountant now

  • Nah he has muttonchops and shops at the co-op.

  • OMG... the Mutant Pop Show... I use to LOVE that!!! Man I miss the 80's at times...

  • Sweet! I love this vintage stuff.

I totally forgot about the mutant pop show.

Do you have the original video tape? I would love to try to make a better transfer.

  • Nevermind about the transfer. I think I like the VHS tracking glitches. It remind me of the time. Thanks for posting these.

  • Wow, a TV news show - one in Idaho no less - all the way back in 1985 doing a non-sensationalized look at the scene. Who'd have guessed?

  • was that a sample of Crass' "Our Wedding"?

  • Wow! "between a couple dozen and several hundred in Boise"!! Just think, now they're prolly all grown up, straight, normal suburbanite Republican idiots just like the parents they hated... :(

  • If they were anything like John Lydon (Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols) I'd beg to differ.

  • From Boise? Errm, not effing likely!

  • There's people with attitude and confidence all over the world.

  • Pushead's from Boise Idaho, hes still doing stuff with bands and his art.

  • That sactimonius piece of shit used to lecture the punks on "morals" before his even shittier band started to play, when he left Boise we packed his bags for him and told him not to let the door hit him on the ass on the way out.

  • LOL

  • Yeah! Where was Deeds?

  • The Replacements live in 1985. Fantastic!

  • they look more like metalheads.

  • That's because there wasn't a punk rock uniform back then like there is now. Punk was about dressing how you wanted to dress and what made you comfortable. There was no one way to dress punk.

  • @bholman28 Which is exactly the point of punk and you clearly get it. The non-conformity means what works for one person, which may be your average mainstream appearance, or someone with a spiked mohawk or any combination of styles is neither right nor wrong. Sorry for the wordy response but those that shriek, "that's not punk" are even less so by their need to make those conform to their punk styling ideals. If you see what I mean.

  • I love the VHS quality. Suits the content so well.

    It's called a "gig". :)

  • Holy Crap! Haven't seen or thought about this in Years!!!! Thats me in part 1 getting my hair bleached, as well as part 2 with "Nina Nishit" and somewhere else as well, my connection is still "Modem" so I'm slow... but totally cool! Indeed Thanks for Sharing!!! Peace! Michelle-"Squat" back in those daze! ;> )~

  • @Crowlypso wow!!!! i have not seen this yea i remember you girl you put ink on me lmao

  • @Crowlypso You were pretty~! You also looked pretty amused. Haha.

  • Cliff Green! SOC!! Hanford's ramp! Wow, this is a total flashback. Thanks for posting!

  • Mutant Pop! That was a cool radio show. It went clear until the late 90's.
