Fun fact: this was originally intended to be the main title theme for Eye of the North, but the GW producers decided they wanted something "faster, more intense", so Jeremy had to quickly bang out the rather generic theme that we now hear on the main menu.

This is called symphonic music. It isn't quite neo-classical because the genre would suggest Jeremy Soule to be a mainstream artist.
