@MrViTopol You are a completely wrong. Israel was our strongest ally in the region, and Egypt was a friend of the Soviet Union. The USS Liberty was not doing anything with the Eqyptians, because it was in the best interest of the US for the Israelis to win the war.

The reason for the attack was to give the US an excuse to enter into the war on the side of the Israelis, and had they succeeded in sinking this ship, it would've been blamed on the Egyptians. Johnson is the bad guy
