  • hitler was a good catholic. joe stalin started out in a seminary.

  • Hitler was born in Austria.

    Therefore all Austrians are Nazis.

Mozart, too, was Austrian. Let's paint everyone with wide strokes. It's easier.

I abhor what Adolf did when he got to power, but have you had a look at his drawings and paintings he did before that time?

    I think they are beautiful.

  • @naganokumas Jeffrey Dahmer was a sculptor. Point? (Incidentally, Hitler was a mediocre artist).

  • Hitler was trying to create a Nazi religion... it doesn't help that he used Iron crosses for things.. (NOT AN ATHEIST THING) so.. yeah..

  • Turn on the ratings and take your dislikes like a man.

  • hitler was catholic, dumbass,

  • How does 1 define 'Intelligence' anyway? Wot is it? All creatures share intelligence 2 some degree but only humans can peer thru a telescope and microscope and pick up a paint brush and draw on a canvas. And yet we r stupid enuff 2 follow blindly 2 our deaths ppl like Stalin and Hitler. As a biologist wot would professor Richard Dawkins have made of Nazi ideal of the superior Aryan race? Or of Dr Mengels xperiments on the sick and weak?

  • @westnblu Because they, like you, are do not realize there is a difference between intelligence and intellect. Intelligence is simply the ability to learn learn, recall and put into use, knowledge. Intellect is the ability to reason, problem solve and use critical thinking processes. Ergo, there are highly intelligent people who are also stupid (stupidity defined as a total lack in, or disregard of, common sense). Our intellect can progress us forth or stifle us.

  • Google "positive christianity" this will take you to the page of the nazi constructed christianity which has a cross and swaztika as a symbol. This was germanys official religion after the nazis took over. Christianity have always been used by rulers as a means to control the idiotic population, that is WHY it was created in the first place. Read "christ conspiracy" and "who was jesus" by the scholar D.M Murdock for the historical proof and facts of christianity´s birth.

  • even if hitler was atheist...he never fought ..in the name of atheism...as there is nothing to fight for. atheists only and only thing is that they don't believe in god. THAT IS ALL.

  • How the FUCK did I get here? Fuckin' a.

  • Hitler was a CATHOLIC, PERIOD!!! Most of the top Nazis were Catholics! Of course, they followed the word of Jesus just as much as most "christians" do today, but hey, who am I to judge hahahaha. Stalin was an "atheist" also, trained by the Orthodox Church how to organize and suppress people´s minds. . .

  • "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so."

    -Adolf Hitler, 1941

  • @amayagab Liar

  • @amayagab One fake ass catholic

  • @amayagab There you go, Catholics. One of your more notable members describes himself.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Derp. "One is either a Christian or a German. You can't be both." -Adolf Hitler

He contradicted himself many times during his life. He sometimes mentioned God and all that stuff to rally the Christian Germans. Besides, he was ex-communicated by the Church for being.. well.. Hitler. Also, let's not forget the tons of Catholic Poles, as well as priests, he killed.

Yet, your big boy Stalin was a self-proclaimed Atheist and he killed more people; his OWN people. Both are bad

  • @GreenBottleCap - you can't quote mine and expect to be taken seriously.

  • @uChakide What?

  • @GreenBottleCap That quote you gave wasn't said by Hitler. It was said by Hermann Rauschning.

  • @GreenBottleCap Also, Hitler was never excommunicated.

  • Bummer that I can't thumbs up. I would if I could. The only thing I can do is say thanks, and keep up the good work.

  • "Even if Hitler was an Atheist..."

To blame the German people for the mass killings is bogus. It was done by a select group of Hitler loyalists who Believed the same as Hitler.

The general public did not know or support what was happening.

The Hitler Youth however were brainwashed as Secular children who would have done anything for their leader.

  • @Texmurphy51

I am swedish, we are one of the happiest, richest and most peaceful countries in the world. and oh we are also the most secular country with the highest number of people who are open about being atheist. Also the german people who comitted those acts were mainly roman catholics, protestants and calvinists. They did NOT do it because they were chiristians, but CLEARLY them being christian did not stop them either

  • @mansanraps sez"Swedish...with the highest number of people who are open about being atheist"

    Really?

    According to the Eurobarometer Poll

23% of Swedish citizens responded that "they believe there is a god". 53% answered that "they believe there is some sort of spirit or life force". 23% answered that "they do not believe there is any sort of spirit, god, or life force".

Of that 23% only 17% self idenifiy as Atheists.

I didnt see german secularists stopping the killings either

  • @Texmurphy51

Oh, I am sorry, I failed to mention that I meant ethnic Swedes (7.6 millions and 80% of the population) we do indeed have a large polulation of mainly muslims but also orthodox christians who immigrated here. In 2009 17% only said religion was imporant in their lives. Less than 4% of the Church of Sweden membership attends public worship during an average week; about 2% are regular attendees.

We are a very humanist society and God is way too evil for us, sorry^^

  • @mansanraps sez"God is way too evil for us,"

Its not God thats evil its people.

The biggest mass murders in history were Atheists.

Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Jim Jones, etc

Unfortunately Hitler was said to be a humanist and promoted Secularism

Things are stable in Sweden because you live well.

It would not matter if you were all Religious, things would be the same.

Religion is a myth but not the cause of all evil in the world

  • @Texmurphy51 God burns ppl to death for not performing animal sacrifice correctly, orders a man to be stoned to death for colleting sticks on the sabbath and kills all life with a flood.

Nothing is EVER done in the name of atheism. Not playing football isn't a sport. Mao did not believe in Poseidon, is that why he did it? No, he was a totalitarian dictator!

Hitler was a nazi and by no means a humanist, since genocide is not part of humanism.

No, but it causes enough evil to be a problem

  • @mansanraps sez"genocide is not part of humanism"

The Nazis did not consider Jews or others they purged human.

"Nothing is EVER done in the name of atheism"

The did it because they were Atheists with no absolute morality.

With no absolute morality any action can be acceptable & explained away.

Your reference to animal sacrifices are from cave man ignorance.

People dont kill in the man of God, they say God is on their side to justify it.

Same as the Atheist do for justification

  • @Texmurphy51 Don't be splitting hairs now, regarding humans as anyhing less than human is against humanism, look up the definition.

There is no absolute morality, it is all subjective, even the one in the bible due to contradictions

God does order the murder of children, he threatens to force parents to eat their children, he orders Jephthah to burn his daughter for him, he orders genocides and stonings and endorses slavery. THIS is the God you dare to clame is good

  • @mansanraps sez"There is no absolute morality, it is all subjective"

There is no absolute anything, we however set absolutes as a Reference point.

Does infinity actually exists? We use it in Math for things that approach it.

With no absolutes in morality one simply says anything goes.

How can you say murder or theft is immoral?

"God does order the murder of children....."

These are ancient myth stories told to make a moralistic point.

These bible stories are not REAL

  • @Texmurphy51

I agree, there are no absolutes in that sense.

Nope, absolutely not. We are genetically inclined towards altruistic behavior (other species too) and "anything goes" behaviour isn't benificial and is selected against. I'm Humanist btw

Of course they're not real! But their moral is horrible by our standards. What is the "2 Kings 2:23-25" story and the horrible story in Judges (especially 19:29) supposed to teach us? Gangrape murder? not to mention the incest stories. Gimme a break

  • @mansanraps sez"We are genetically inclined towards altruistic behavior (other species too)"

You are totally incorrect. Recent study of primate behavior shows just the opposite.

Acts like Theft, infanticide, & the such are all common observed behaviors. The group does pull together in a crisis to optomize survival but individuals are NOT altruistic.

Your too stuck on the bible stores, talk to real people & see how they act.

    Most never read the bible.

    No absolutes allow ANY behavior

  • @Texmurphy51 Nope, I'm afraid you are misstaken and I can provide info about the studies if you want too.

Also I wanna add that God says this in Hosea 13:16 about the Samarians " They will be killed by an invading army, their little ones dashed to death against the ground, their pregnant women ripped open by swords"

Real christians are leading to the spread of aids by advocating against condoms in africa and discriminating against gays and waging holy wars in the middle east

  • DOOH....before Dawrins theory was called darwins the whole inovation was a invantion from the islamic world by islamic philosophers and scientists and even in the time of Darwin it was called THE MOHHAMEDINS THEORY OF EVOLUTION......by the way muslims have brought a lot of things to the table but unfortunatly the stability of that broke several centuries ago but it will be brought back ishallah(hope to god)

  • Comment removed

  • @abashammusba a honest queston: I agree that the islamic countries in the old days brought alot to the science table and people came to learn from them from all over the world! Why not do it again? The Qur'an no longer brings anything new to the table, so why not focus more efforts on modern science to help elevate the arabic world to its old high status? =)

  • Buddy i hope you don't take my comments in any bad way, thestupid media puts on their favorite type of "muslim" and create divsion when in fact, for example, I want things tobe like it was during the ottomin empire, allmy friends are christian, and if weall came together we could maybe reach the"flying cars" we dream about,(it's dueable-their is wireless today right, and cellphones)and the prophet said to seek knowledge where ever we can find it, that means get involved with the world

  • @abashammusba That is such an inspiring attitude and I wish that the media would interview guys like you instead of the typical "angry muslim" that they are so fond of

  • The thingabout the quran, isthat maybe you might guess its done with sceince but actually their is alot more to it,forexample, today their studying our holy water the"zamzam water"and their areparts in the quranwhere i notice newthings and i wouldtalk to my proffesor about, butthe important thingabout the quran is theit's also a religiousbook, buteven it, tells us to use our brains, todiscover life, to be involvedwith whatsout their, not to sit around and do nothing, soyes iagreewithyou

  • @abashammusba

That's great to hear! So I guess that you are indeed allowed within islam to question data that seem to no longer hold up and update them? In christianity you are more or less forced to believe that it's the ultimate truth and all data that contradicts the bible, like the age of the earth, are "evil lies"

  • @mansanraps Lol,for the information out side of the religion, were told, not to disbelieve it but instead "take it with a grain of salt"...because you never know, and afterall wasn't it ignorince that made "the fallin angel" fall...i believe so

  • Comment removed

  • Dawkins got it wrong. it's not 700, 28*3

  • "When people struggle for their survival of their race (...) then humanitarian and atheistic values will completely fall away (...) they are human fantasies"

    Seems pretty straight forward.

  • all you have to do is go to wikipedia and it tells you all about this mans religious beliefs

hitler was a catholic, there are rumors that the last few months of his life we had become an atheist, but it was probably because he had realised he was losing the war and god wasnt on his side

even if hitler was an atheist, the german people were mostly christian and he used christianity to fuel him to what he had become

  • @coltsrule5150 Hitler like another guy we know though he was made "president" by gods will, and became atheist when he realized he was on a bad acid trip...

  • "I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator." -Adolf Hitler

  • Hitler was a christian therefore all Christians are Nazi's.

  • YouTube "Hitler Photographs" Hitler was a religious nut. See the photos.

  • Doctor Doctor. Do to better than something useful. And then just sell books so doing populism. Call me at least one atheist charity.

  • What's the bullshit anti-evolution argument using Hitler? Hitler was an atheist, so all atheists are evil and wrong? Pretty sure theists have been responsible for more atrocities throughout history than atheists. According to the Bible, God himself ordered people to commit genocide.

  • I'm not so confident he was a true Christian. We really can't trust everything Hitler said or wrote as he did actually make statements at different times that both supported and condemned Christianity. I think for him Christianity may have just been a tool for manipulating the masses. After all, Germany was unsurprisingly a predominantly Christian country.

But how the fuck are Hitler's beliefs at all relevant to the controversy over evolution or just about anything today.

  • Misquoting me doesn't do any good; I said he became self-styled ' Father of the Nation' If you knew anything at all about history, at least you'd know that much. He could hardly ban all religion then say ' I am you god' Most the deaths under Stalinism were caused by the second world war, deaths from actual warfare and starvation. The world owes a great debt to the Russian people. Stalin wasn't a despot because of his Atheism, but because of his paranoia.

  • Hitler being an Atheist is one of the weakest arguments Theists have. I was gonna leave a couple quotes by the maniacal little Catholic, but some folks beat me to it. Hitler was a Theist. Everything he did, he did in the name of whatever god told him he was cool.

Hail Sauce, full of Beef. R'Amen.

  • @TheCrimsonification Hitler must have been a socialist as well. After all it says so in NAZI.. He must have been a socialist. For crying out loud he was the head of the NAZI party, The National Socialist German Workers Party...

    lmao

  • @karamarouge "Everything believe I am acting inaccordance of the Almighty Creator." The Illuminati put on shows of Satanism to mislead the sheeple. Religion is a mindfuck. Plain and simple.

  • @TheCrimsonification I think your mind is fucked because you missed the point apparently! (but then again, only an individual with a basic understand of politics and history would get my point) You obviously fall well out of that category.

  • It's surprising how few people realise that Stalin was training to become a priest in the Russian Orthodox church. Where else do you think he learned how useful it would become in manipulating the masses.

  • @daverigby23 So he decided to employ this idea of manipulating the masses through religion by killing the religious. Really this is what you want people to believe?

  • @karamarouge As I said he learned how to manipulate the masses, by observing the hold religion has over people. In Russia before the revolution, the Czar was gods representative on earth, according to the Russian Orthodox church just like the pope is for the catholics. Once you've disposed of the Czar, the scene is set for the leader of the nation, Stalin, to take that place. Stalin killed lots of patriotic communists as well as religious believers. He was paranoid

  • @daverigby23 So Stalin did not believe in the "gods" of the people which is why he disposed of them. right? Even if we accept the bogus assertion that Stalin installed himself as the new god. (which is simply bogus and is not backed up by anything he said or any historical account of his reign), it does not change the fact that he himself remained an ATHEIST. Whether people worshiped him or not is irrelevant, the man himself did not believe in any god and said so himself!

  • @karamarouge I should also add that Stalin had to wait until the death of Lenin, before he could seize power. No doubt he saw the hero worship Lenin had, and thought he could take it further, becoming ' Father of the Nation'

  • SHHHHHHH EVERYONE. Hitler is friggen not atheist..

  • "I believe today that I am acting in the sense of the Almighty Creator. By warding off the Jews I am fighting for the Lord's work."

    [Adolph Hitler, Speech, Reichstag, 1936]

Hitler was quite the vocal Catholic!!!

  • has anybody read Hitler's Mein Kampf??.....he's a devout christian & quotes the bible...i'am sorry but it's true..read the book.

  • F U

  • if god was perfect and the whole bible is the word of god why is it when you point out certain verses that christians think your attacking there religon..if somethings perfect how can you think a verse is no good..isnt it like admitting your god isnt perfect.? say someone stands up in church and says god is love people will say halleluyah..you say god wiped out the planet theyll probably say get out..its the word of your so called god so why cant people talk about that

  • @silverwave00 The trick is to say that God is perfect, but mans interpretation of God's word is imperfect, because man is imperfect.

  • @TheAtheologian nice uneducated copout

  • @MrKGatl of course it's a copout, what else would it be? :P

But also technically valid, and means atheists such as myself have to address an infinite number of definitions of God...

  • @TheAtheologian yes, its the one that I (I am also an atheist) encounter very often living down in the bible belt.

  • @MrKGatl Ouch, I'm sorry for you...

I live in Norway and encounter more atheists than theists...

  • @TheAtheologian

You're lucky, here in the USA it's full of low IQ theists.

  • @9N8X I count my "blessings".

  • @silverwave00 Because you clearly don't understand the verse. If you don't accept the religion, why would you accept the validity of the verse? You don't question faith sir. You either have it or you don't.

  • hitler used the god comments to control the masses he thought he could become more than human therefore he didn't believe there was a god

  • @maorcoolahh Even if we accepted this specious claim, what about the millions of Germans who followed Hitler and actually carried out his orders? Were they only pretending to be religious as well?

  • He was Jedi

  • It's amazing fools debate an omnipotent omnipresent omniscient cosmic magician they call 'GOD' while almost completely ignoring the high tech 'ENLIL' father of Christ who gave Isaac to Sarai via IFV & Christ to Mary ditto & who resurrected Christ's human soul into an 'ENLIL' body scientifically prepared from flesh of his 'ENLIL' father's flesh...

This magic-god shite has gone far enough as it's being used to make peeps ignore Christ & Peter's prophecy (2-Pet Ch-3) of our star's supernova...

  • Please break the mindless ongoing Masonic sin (Error) maintaining an occult advantage over little peeps by hiding even the meaning of the Pagan root word 'GOD' which is simply spirits or souls of deceased earthly preists or kings (Over 400,000+ years of them) but especially since Ramses & Solomon & just level with the common man that "AS-ABOVE SO-BELOW" & until the post supernova "BAPTISM OF FIRE" the Christ spoke of paradies is somewhere even Christ wasn't long welcome...

  • pwnd much?

  • Yep that is why he made all his men put God is with us on their belt buckles.

  • I would like to draw your attention to 1 Thess. 2:14-16, where the Jews are literally blamed for the killing of Jesus: This is the reason Hilter hated the Jews. You won't find anything like it in any atheist writings. This came from The "Holy" Bible. And don't give me the "Faux News" argument that Hilter was an atheist. I've seen too many pictures of Hitler going into, or coming out of churches. Also, the Nazis wore beltbuckles that said "Gott mit uns." It means, "God is with us"

  • @saucersauce Among Hitler's greatest influences were the virulently anti-semitic writings of Martin Luther. Ironically, the works of Charles Darwin were among those banned by the Nazis.

  • Ahhhhh, so his father is responsible for Dawkins' stupidity. What a shame.

  • @biblicalreality I cried out like that, I can say, and hated things I've done. I wouldn't say I like doing evil things, but I like doing things some call evil. You probably do too, though, don't you? Otherwise you'd be without sin because you wouldn't even want to do those things, and that applies to none of us. Either way, I'm sure you're a wonderful person in anyone's judgment, especially God's.

  • Being male has a lot to do with these evil rulers and their violence. Not many women have started wars or genocides. I'm a man, so I'm not sexist. I'm just saying that my gender causes more violence.

  • @spinemelter2000 Don't you think the behaviors of women, in an evolutionary sense, contribute? The males they mate with, you know, being the ones whose genes persist? Big-horn sheep are an extreme case, but note how the winner doesn't take most of the ladies- he takes all of them. With us, nerds get girls, but... how to say this politely... often the "big-horn sheep" girls... all beautiful in their own right, of course, but there's a strong motivation to be the big mofo who kicks everyone's ass.

  • I agree that Stalin's atheism wasn't the reason for him doing what he did. But the Soviets did explicitly aim to eliminate religion and they, as well as regimes in China, Romania, and Cambodia, among others, razed plenty of houses of worship and jailed priests as part of systematization efforts. More importantly, your defense of atheism applies equally to any religion accused of causing atrocities. You didn't make any attack on religion here, so I won't put words in your mouth. I'm just saying.

  • @biblicalreality The Bible says that even faith is not to man's credit but only given as God sees fit. I used to pray desperately, wanting with all my soul to have faith, and, earnestly as I tried, in the end I didn't have faith. It seemed so much more likely that people were telling me what they wanted to be true, with no other reason to believe it than that it would be nice if it were so. I don't blame mankind's problems on religion, as some do, but I'm truly sad that the Good News is all BS.

  • Why always Hitler, let's discuss other people , Mao tse tung, Harry Trumman?

  • @guayacan07 Dawkins already blasted to bits the false claim that Justin Bieber was an atheist.

  • @biblicalreality You're a coward if you live life for a false deity, simply because his "word" tells you to.

  • @biblicalreality so because your book says it true it must be?

so if I read harry potter, does that mean its real?

  • SHITler used religion to usurp the people. SHITler was in no way a religious person due to his evil behavior and massacres. SHITer most likely did not care ithere is a God or not. SHITler used everything for propaganda politics even tho' he did not believe in anything but sadistic procedures. TRUTH!

  • @EGMAG: Oh, I see you are an expert in Hitler psychology. Since when does evil behaviour make you less religious? In fact the most fanatic theists have committed horrible crimes. You can't cherry pick your christians.

  • @EGMAG

"SHITler used everything for propaganda politics even tho' he did not believe in anything but sadistic procedures"

You state he used religion for polotics and propaganda without being a beliver, despite it being a highly debatable point as to what Hitler did or did not believe, lets assume you are right.

The only way using religion as propaganda would work is if the Thousands of Nazi's working for him WERE Chistians and did beleive what he was saying aligned with God's will.

  • @whiteowl1415 Thousands of Nazi's <<

Yes right. Only it was millions; and they followed SHITler first and then God. The atrocities committed by the nazis are unparreleled in human history. If religion don't work with the masses try scare tactics, science, technology, fear and torture, any damn thing military can use to protect and expand the nations economical situation. Understand yet?

  • @EGMAG I was generalizing with Thousands, focusing on the active Military not the whole political party, but yes, in total Millions would have been more appropriate.

    Hitler WAS Catholic.

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator" - Hitler

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter" - Hitler

Should ALL Catholics be blamed for him? No.

But don't try to rewrite history,

    Unparreleled? Just a new inquisition

  • @whiteowl1415

Is there something wrong with you? I said SHITler LIED and his followers lie and saying he is catholic or religious is a LIE. Shitler was a progressively nuttier and nuttier NUT. He was on drugs all the time from his doc Murro his only patient was SHITler pumped full of meth. What else is there to be said. God was not one of SHITlers friends already so what else is new?

  • @EGMAG

So basicaly, we agree Hitler was srewed up, but While I admit Stalin is an Atheist, you persist Hitler was not a Christian.

So taking Hitler's veiw of himself out of it, Why didn't he get excomunicated?

Answer: He was just the Last Major and the Biggest example in centuries of Christians persecuting the Jewish.

Inquisition, Black Plague, for a couple other examples.

Hitler's actions were in line with Church examples

  • @whiteowl1415

Alright you've gotten to ridiculous for me. Find some one else to ignore!

  • @EGMAG

Pointing out facts in history is now, ridiculous?

Fact: The Catholic Church never denouced his actions.

Fact: The Catholic Church had a long history of persecuting Jews prior to Adolf.

Thats the poblem with relgion, it trains you to trust what you LIKE over what is REAL

  • @whiteowl1415 you confuse religion with faith

  • @whiteowl1415

Religion trains you to trust what you are taught, not what you like. If I believed what I liked, I'd be a deist. Also, you're using religion as a very general term. I am a Christian, and I do not have an ingrained hatred for non-Christians and I believe the universe is millions of years old.

What's more, the book of Revelations persecutes the Catholic Church (symbolically, but the parallels are hard to ignore).

  • @Draezeth

"Religion trains you to trust what you are taught, not what you like"

Both are wrong, try trusting what you see evidence for. If a teacher cannot provide evidence of what they are telling you, then are are not teachers, they are hustlers and conmen.

"What's more, the book of Revelations persecutes the Catholic Church (symbolically, but the parallels are hard to ignore)"

I think the Catholics would disagree, symbolism means something different to everyone ;)

  • @whiteowl1415

Given the number of denominations, I'd say there's a substantial amount of questioning going on. Martin Luther saw inconcistencies in Catholicism and formed the Lutherans as a response. Religion isn't all about acceptance.

The Catholics tell people not to even read the book of Revelations. And the catholics' disagreeing isn't much of an argument, considering just how much they disagree on.

  • @Draezeth

"Martin Luther saw inconcistencies in Catholicism and formed the Lutherans as a response"

He was also forced into hiding for his life and started a German civil war by questoning

"And the catholics' disagreeing isn't much of an argument, considering just how much they disagree on"

Same can be said of any demonination

Preists are conartists, taking donations and giving nothing in return except unverifiable promises and readings of stories

  • @whiteowl1415

    1. That was because of the Catholic Chruch's unwillingness to change. Yes, that was due to the corruption of the church. Nonetheless, it untimately led to denominations that understood much more, and were better.

    2. That's true, but the catholics are the only ones so different that Jesus is the 6th person prayed to on their top saints list.

    3. I won't deny that that is true in many, many cases. Nondenominationals, however, are exempt of that. Cont...

  • @Draezeth

The nondenominational priests do get all of the donations. BUT! all saints are priests. The only head of the church is God. So donations don't go to any one person of group of people, but to the Church as a whole. It will usually go into funding for more books, or wages for the translators. I can safely say that all TRUE nondenominational Christians are devoid of corruption.

  • @Draezeth

    1. Except the different denominations are still using to the book complied by the Cathoics, just in new translations..result, Garbage in = garbage out. Also the new demoniations are no more open to change than the old..look at antigay movement

    2. Didn't know the Saints had ranks, that is funny tho

    3. That is why I am personaly in favor of taxing churched like a buisness but allowing them to apply for nondenominational status if they realy are doing chairty work.

  • @whiteowl1415

    1. Well, I can't speak for all versions of the Bible, but the Recovery Version is based on Hebrew versions of the old testament, and Greek versions of the new, before they were corrupted. They then compared them to other, newer versions and looked for consistencies and inconsistencies. Sounds legit to me.

    2. Yeah, in denominations priests/preachers are a separate rank. They're usually the ones that get the money.

    Cont...

  • @Draezeth

    Cont...

I can agree with that. Beliefs shouldn't give you higher rights on than other people.

  • @Draezeth

    1. I am accostomed to people referencing King James version of New Living...Nor familiar with Recovery Version. I will have to check it out, becuase wqhile I consider it complete mythology, I hapen to enjoy history and mythology

    2. Personaly I have no problem with the religious as long as..

    a. They don't condemn others based on it

    b. They don't act like faith is fact

    c. They don't let it get in the way of reality, evolution etc

  • @whiteowl1415

    1. Gotta agree with you there. Mythology is great. My favorite is Nordic. Well, that and the mythology of just about any RPG out there. The Recovery Version also has separate books going into detail about symbolism and such. All of them would fill a whole bookshelf!

    2. I can agree with you there. Oh wait, I pretty much said that in my last few comments. XP

  • @Draezeth

    1. The owl from my profile pic is tattoed on my shoulder, the guy who did it is preist of Odin. as to RPG..I'm on WoW alot ;)

    2. Thats why we can have civil converstation. When people talk about Atheists being jerks, they tend to overlook that in those instances the person they are debating is usualy extreme fundamentalist (Though some of my fellow atheist are indeed jerks, you get them in every crowd)

  • @whiteowl1415

    1. THAT IS F***ING EPIKK. (Yes, the two Ks were necessary.) And the only RPG I play anymore is Skyrim.

    2. Yeah, the #1 problem with angry atheists is that they generalize too often. The most outspoken theists are the fundamentalists, and they give the others a bad name. >_<

  • @Draezeth

    1. Send a private message. We'' talk servers and such, don't want to hog up space here for going further off subject, enjoyable though it may be

    2. Its always the case, the squeaky wheel and all that...the minority Funadmentalists Christians, the less than .5% of Muslims taht are extremeist, the Minority Atheists taht are A-holes and so forth

  • @whiteowl1415

I wouldn't say that fundamentalist Christians are a minority, actually. But that aside... yes, let's PM instead.

  • @Draezeth

"I wouldn't say that fundamentalist Christians are a minority"

In the aspect of being under 50%

Large minority esecialy in highly religious areas like Texas or here in Arizona for example, but still in the under 1/2 department

  • @whiteowl1415 What do you care about them jews anyway? Now weren't THEY just another breed of God-nuts to you?

  • @whiteowl1415 Catholics*

  • @35503550

    Cathloics are Christians

  • @EGMAG Stalin lied.... HE WAS A BUDDHISTTTTTTTTTTTT OFJIAOJGTWtjrowjgt omagfdgeraig

  • Here are but a few of the unreasonable “beliefs” that people hold: “You sent Jesus to die for me to free me of my punishment” One person cannot take punishment for another person’s crimes and have that considered justice. Can I do your prison time if it is you who broke the law? I could, but that is not justice.

Another example of non-sense: “me going to never-ending punishment for ignoring Him” cont--->>>

  • What kinda of nut would throw people in a lake of fire to burn for eternity !?!?!? Not just “cruel & unusual” but that is torture and insane to any reasonable person’s thinking. All this torture for not believing in something that wont even bother to show itself…. No, there has to be all this “cloak & dagger” crap instead of simply showing up & saying: “Well, here I am….here is the proof….now you have no reason to not believe.” “Fear of God”…yeah, this lunatic frightens me.

  • @orangemod Certainly no one who grew up in an industrialized society with a free education, a library full of books, an Xbox, psychotherapy, electricity and running water in his home, and plenty of organic soy products available at the local grocer would ever conceive of such horrible things. It must have been some bronze age cretin who never heard of the Bill of Rights. We should go back in time and kill everyone who was alive then, because they were all aggressive, closed-minded people.

  • @badmuthahubbard I am not sure if I am following you here BadM, but if you mean to say modern people are just as bad....I agree with you. Cheers

  • @orangemod Something like that. I guess I wanted to say that we judge people who lived in circumstances we can't imagine a little harshly. Throwing people in a lake of fire for eternity sounds harsh, but humans used to impale each other (sometimes took days to die), starve, burn, smash, etc. and it's more interesting to try to understand why they'd do it than to judge, IMO. Even someone like Fritzl. Sure, I want to kill him, but I also want to know what caused that behavior.

  • @badmuthahubbard You want to kill him? Yikes...a lake of fire eternally is still insane no matter who else does crazy things.....doesnt make it any less crazy.

  • @orangemod My point is that the human race is clearly capable of all of these things with or without religion. Others doing the same thing doesn't make it "right," but it should tell you something about the causes for the behavior.

    /watch?v=a7XuXi3mqYM

Chimps do it too. They're complex and intelligent, but it's probably safe to say they haven't read the Bible.

  • @badmuthahubbard I agree, we can do some pretty crappy stuff either way.

    Cheers !!!

  • @biblicalreality But why doesn't there any evidence for god?

  • @biblicalreality So you don't have a reason, you don't know, you can't say, and you won't even think about it, but you are willing to insult and threaten people just for asking questions.

If there were a God, I'd thank him that you guys aren't in charge any more, and never will be again.

  • @biblicalreality How do you realise there's a Creator of everything? What evidence is there? Why do you think the Bible is the word of God, when it was plainly written by human beings? Why do you think you deserve to be punished eternally and infinitely for sins that however black they might be, are at least finite and limited? Why do you think that this is just? Why do you think that a God who would do that is even just, let alone loving?

  • My question for people who deny Hitler was a Catholic is simply "Oh, really? Can you give me a specific reason why he was able to fool the Vatican, but not you?"

Try getting a wedding ceremony in a cathedral if you're not a card-carrying Catholic, and recall that a high-ranking bishop, who later became Pope, made the hike to Germany to perform Hitler's wedding.

  • hitler was scum just like american christians

  • Hitler and the Nazi party had a plan to phase Christianity out of the Third Reich after the war. In their minds, the only true religion was Germany.
