  • You can actually see the first one in a picture on the end credits.

  • @pgj1997 Now, go finish EX mode and see the second set of credits.

  • There was one in Kirby's Adventure, too...

  • The music in it sounds like the version from Squeak Squad

  • @GigaEXE

yup the first and all of em have! or at least that what i know!

  • That HAL rooms in Super Star Ultra? Dang, I had no idea. I also had no idea about these. XD

Are there any other secrets like these from past games? Did the original Super Star have HAL rooms?

  • who's hal?

  • @Infamouschakram I'm guessing you've probably never played a Kirby game.

  • I didn't know that!

  • i think hal is trying to be arrogant by putting their name and not nintendo's in

  • @Slumphunter123 HAL are the developers of the title, not Nintendo.

Don't even accuse them of arrogance, Super Star/Ultra is chock full of classic Nintendo references, from Koopa Shells to Bananas, Captain Falcon's Helmet and Mr Saturn, from the legendary triforce to statues of Mario and Samus!

  • @jesus77755 forget what I just said thar

  • Ah, I remember this track from Nightmare in Dreamland on the GBA. Brings back memories.

  • They made 2 because of the credits. In the credits, there are pictures. One of them shows everyone in the HAL room. But theres two sets of credits. The regular, the one you see when you beat regular mode, and hidden, the one you see when you beat extra mode. Both those credits have different pictures, but they wanted to give HAL credit in both. So in regular, they show the characters in the cookie country HAL room, and the hidden credits they show the characters in the egg engines HAL room.

  • 0:44 SHORYUKEN

  • i saw the room in the credits i thought it was a tribute or some shit who new?

  • huh. i saw a "hal" room in the credits, but i never found them....

  • @PacManiPoop

The Dangerous Dinner meteor isn't a HAL room. It's a homage to the moon entrance room in KSS/KSSU. It's a HAL room if blocks spell out HAL.

  • @Ludicrine

Actually, the very first moon entrance room was all the way back in the original Kirby's Dream Land. But yeah, since the "Spring Breeze" section of Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra is just a remake of Kirby's Dream Land, they decided keep that secret room in.

  • So that is what that 8 bit remix was in the sound test

  • @billytixx It's not much of ab 8-bit remix, so much as it's taken from the original Kirby's dreamland.

But yes the song is also used in the final challenge room.

  • @RupeeClock i found the music in the iso i thought it was unused O_O but it was not...

  • I didn't know there were HAL rooms. I just saw the one in the credits and I thought it was just that. Cool though. Didn't know it was in Ultra

  • JUST WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS COMPLETELY DONE WITH THIS GAME AND I HAD 200%, I COME HERE AND REALIZE TO MY HORROR THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING I HAD NOT YET DISCOVERED.

  • Theres 2!?? :0 I found one, but i didn't know that there were two!

  • @CelloThe15th

Yeah! The Egg Engines one was super obvious to me because of my obsession of going the opposite direction of all the conveyor belts before advancing.

    Don't judge me please.

  • You know, I actually expected a HAL room in the game because I saw a picture of one in the end credits with all 4 characters, but I never expected 2!

  • 0:28 So THAT'S where track 96 of the sound test menu was used for!

  • @pgj1997 its also used for the item challenge

  • Cool find. I saw the picture of the HAL room in the credits, but had no clue where to find it. The fact that this room returned and that there are at least two of them is awesome.

  • where are the two HAL rooms in kirby super star ultra?

  • Thanks, I never knew those existed. The only hidden room I found was in 7-3 on the final room, you could fly above the goal door and hold up. I though that was a nice touch, like how you could enter the moon in a similar fashion in the original Kirby.

  • We need a Kirby's Air Ride 2

  • @YATVZ I agree wholeheartedly.

  • nice find man! <3

  • @LetsPlayNintendoITA Oh, I didn't find them, I'm just documenting them.

Users xoftheuniverse and slayerr2314 appeared to find these rooms first.

  • @RupeeClock oh ok ^^ still nice video useful :D

  • Damn...TWO HAL Rooms. I gotta note this for when I play (though I might just stick to the awesomeness that is the Sword Ability for now)

  • @FieraDevilWings Trust me, the fact that you can get Hammer, Fighter and Ninja as early as 1-4 is amazing, and is valuable to anyone who'd like to replay the game. :)

I love the sword ability but its usefulness quickly diminishes in this game.

  • @RupeeClock - After playing at the Nintendo Connection Tour 2011 (where I first played a Japanese copy they set up, some people actually triggered the appearance of World 6 and 7 before release and they were told to stick to the previous levels) I stuck mostly with the Sword ability for now because it's got some moves with invincibility, which is really handy for some bosses (and I abuse it much playing on KSSU). I haven't got the chance to play the game in full, yet.

    Also, Meta Knight says hi.

  • @RupeeClock - (I said that last part because someone on YouTube kept abusing Shuttle Loop like it was Brawl! It ALSO has invincibility periods which makes the secret boss of The True Arena a piece of freaking cake!)

  • @FieraDevilWings That being said, Shuttle Loop is an exclusive Meta knight Move, Sword Kirby can't use that.

  • @RupeeClock - Wing Kirby can, though!

That's essentially what Meta Knight is in this game, a combination of both (as he was in Brawl, complete with gliding)

  • @RupeeClock - Perhaps I should conclude with the statement that I use Sword because of its versatility and usefulness in various situations (and at least three moves with invulnerability included keeping you safe in a lot of situations, though risky to even pull them off at the right time for some)
