@Jean0987654321 You have to check your firewall settings, that was my problem also and check if both your xbox and computer are connected correctly to your network
@Coles109 It's because of your internet connection. Windows Media Center uses internet to access the files on your computer. If you have a fast working connection there will be no streaming problems whatsoever. But if you have a slow connection, streaming 720p or 1080p videos is unlikely.
@SomeCoolShitTV very incorrect. For some reason, using these codecs makes 720p videos VERY fuzzy and pointless. I have a VERY fast internet connection so that has absolutely NOTHING to do with his problem
@TehHavock Probably an issue with how you are connected to your xbox. If you are not using Wireless N or Ethernet you will likely not be able to stream HD content to it. Too much data
For me, installing Shark007 by itself, didn't work, as the .mkv files (for some reason) didn't appear in WMC. I had to install the divx plus codecs as well.
Once both were installed, they appeared and played fine on the 360. YMMV. Thanks for the intro to Shark007, as it wouldn't work without it. Thanks!
@BF3Enthusiast It is most likely due to a slow network. Ultimately streaming quality is only as good as your LAN speed. It is known that wired Ethernet speeds are much faster and more reliable that wireless speeds. Also check the speed of your Ethernet cords. 10mbps (Cat 3), 100mbps (Cat 5) and 1000mbps (Cat 6). The higher the category, the faster the wire speed. Also check the speed of your router or switch. Wireless speeds can go up to about 300 mbps while Wired can go up to 1000mbps
x64 components ae for win 64bit aren't they, doesn't work on a 32 bit version of windows.

@gandalfwiz20007 if the x64 compnent doesnt work you need a 64 bit system. look for x86 components

@SomeCoolShitTV So all I have to do is install it and that's it? Then I can happily watch MKV videos on my xbox360. Right?
