  • Hi Johnny; Nice rendition of this Santo and Johnny classic. I never really liked Freddy Fender until I saw him at fan fair in Nashville. Him and his group stole the show.

  • Yes, Freddy had a certain air about him during live performances. I don't want to call it charisma, but like a high appeal. He was a combination of unusual ingredients that just simply worked. A real hybrid that strangely had a broad based appeal. Thanks for the comment! Johnny Pal
