  • I need to get one of those someday. Tripp Lite makes some really good ones -- I'll probably order from them, mostly because that company was founded by my great grandfather! Keeps it in the family, hehe!

  • Free super saver shipping?

  • @ghtowagon You've been vatching too much TV, son... -:)))

  • @CORVAIRWILD I stopped watching TV years ago.. Now its only what is on the internet... Anyway Amazon's free shipping rules. Its great for car parts too. They sell alot of AC delco parts

  • @ghtowagon I stopped in 1988, just before the San Fran earth quake, I was so addicted, like the pooper now!!! Amazon... AC Delco??? hmmm....

  • i just put a 400 watt power inverter in my '65 Corvair a couple days ago, for charging my laptop and other stuff on trips.

  • That's a nice big inverter, I have a 150watt and a 300 watt. I always carry around the 150 watt, it will run my laptop as long as the engine is running.

  • CW, Looks like a winner! Just make sure you allow for plenty of cooling around the unit - ie; don't lay it i a pile of junk when you run it. They will shut down if they overheat! Good luck with it. I have a 600 watt inverter and it works well. P.S. I got your letter! Thanks! RW

  • @Radiowild and your recovery???

  • i totally need one of them! that would be too awsome!, run some big jesus cables into the cab, and 110 volts. but i dont know what id need it for lol. in a suburban , if you had kids, you could use it to power a TV and playstation like what my friends did in their truck for a long trip. it was AWSOME!

  • gotta be careful what you plug into a modified sign-wave inverter, should have grabbed a true sign. but they are 3 times more

  • @Cucscspr Modified? True sine??? WTF???

  • I have a 750w I use when the power goes out. Handy for running the TV and a computer.

  • good thing you didn't cuz Black & Decker iz JUNK!!!

  • i know a guy that has a generator behind his tool box with an extension cord running around the side of the truck in the passenger side door to run his lap top

  • Too much power for the cigarette lighter, boo.

  • yeah, wheres ladybug...she dont look too well nowadays..hmmm..

  • ticket for trashes !

Damn...here there are trashes on the floor or on the dumpsters when they are full and we have no tickets.

it just mean the dumpsters are too little for the trashes volume.

  • CAT!!! 2:30

    Greetings buddy.

  • What are you gonna use it for corvairwild? I installed a 400w to power my laptop or air compressor.

  • The more watts the quicker it drains the battery. I have a 400 watt and a old 70 watt from Radio Shack and i use the 70 watt the most . If you're using it while driving it doesn't matter.

  • @231flash Good point, I'll keep that in mind. I intend to use whilst driving

  • Nice inverter! I've been looking for one that size to power my sawzall. I just bought a 400w and I'm still trying to figure out where to run the wires for it on my 96 6.5l suburban.

  • @linuxh4x0r I'm gonna run da wires rite to the battery, with an inline fuse

  • @CORVAIRWILD Yep, thats what I'm doing too. I just need to find a good hole to pull them through. Got myself some nice big 60 amp fuses and a little box to but it in.

  • @linuxh4x0r I'll make a vid when I install it

  • That looks like a nice bit of kit, really should get one of those myself for the times when I forget to charge my DSLR battery...

  • hi in your "sub" what with all that wiring

  • 900 watts ... as Tim Taylor would say, "arrrr, arrrr, arrrr!"
