@nextbestrockstar yes you would see nba players in the lane in the the modern nba.....when they are playing zone defense....the three second rule is for players who are on OFFENSE......
Actually he put himself at a huge disadvantage backing up that far. You got a guy like michael coming at a full head of steam. The only thing he could have hoped to do in that scenario is guess which way he would go and try and draw a charge.
What about it? Kobe started at the 3 point line iirc (not ~37 feet out; pause it exactly at the one second mark and look where he is on the court -- that's waaaaay out), and it was nowhere near this fast. Great dunk, though.
That's the fastest you'll ever see someone get from 36-38 feet out to a dunk. He does it in under 2 seconds from basically a STANDSTILL, and he even had to change directions with his body and the dribble -- imagine if he didn't! Blinding speed.
i wanna be back there. i wanna be a fat chicago mustachioed dude drinkin old style and watching the best player there ever was.

Anyone else notice how the other 4 Bulls just cleared way out ?? That defense was terrible. I feel bad for whoever had to try to guard MJ by himself

this year he won the dunk contest :D

Uh......where's the "crossover"?
There was no crossover
The defender was playing him on his right hand, daring him to use his left
Jordan went left, with his right hand
BlackDynamiteNYC 8 months ago
@BlackDynamiteNYC jordan performs a crossover by moving the ball across his body with his right hand

Wow. The defender backed off him about 15 feet and still got burned.
That's insane.

that was a good dunk by kobe, but Jordan was out way further on the wing and started close to halfcourt, with incredible speed.
