I have an m15x. It is by far the best laptop pc I ever had, worth the 3500$ price I baught it. However, it painfuly lacks a few things that exist on the m17 like an HDMI port (replaced by a useless Power Display port...), a 3D compatible player and a few extra usb ports (only contains 2).

Games run perfectly except for Arma 2 and Empire:Total war when I run them at full graphics.

Battery lasts for about 1.5 hours at full power usage.

Lighting on keyboard is also buggy at times.

Is this laptop going to be renewed because it has been out with the same design, specs for a long time. Hoping it will renewed with new sandy bridge ,(2nd gen processors) foro this 2011

@gibsonloser The current i7 series are better than sandy bridge. They are clocked way faster when using turbo boost. Ive got that exact configuration of the m15x and maxed out all the options and games. It is impossibly fast and good at gaming it works like the best desktops out there xD

@HaanTV You can customize alienware notebooks click on the website at customize you will probably see a lot of options with what graphic card you want cpu ram etc :p

@KrakatoaCoo I don´t know where you live but from what I know Apple is the one who is charging most from all computer fabricators. Price of Alienware is high but when I compare laptop my parents have (use it 1 month in year) that is broken in half while my (older) alienware is still without a problem. Oh and did you know that Apple is charging 2x more for Windows on their computers than Microsoft itself? Have fun spending money on pretty but useless pc.
