i still dont understand why they...put on magazines all over the world and write articles about best guitarrists in the world..naming ..steve vai, joe satriani, slash ahahahaha etc...why guys like scott henderson, robben ford, maclaughin, pat metheney dont have the same recongnizment?? they are much better musicians than them..much better musical language the world is upsidedown. this guy is not only a guitarrist he is literally a musician that plays guitar with an awsome expression.
Problem is that in order to appreciate greatness, a certain level of understanding is required. For certain types of talent, one can only appreciate what they are doing by having a sufficient musical knowledge. Since Slash, eg., is playing extremely simple harmonies, far more people possess the requisite musical understanding to appreciate it. Only the truly great, as in "best in human history", can satisfy the musical elite while still appealing to the uneducated masses.
Nothing against Beck, but to my ears Scott is so much better... Whenever I listen do J.Beck it feels like he's missing some notes... or maybe not hitting the right ones... But Scott seems to hit them right ALL the time... you just can't ignore the fact that he has way more technique and a better ear.

John is such an incredible musician, just perfectly matches you guys. "Well To The Bone" may be the greatest LP I've ever had. Totally transcends anything.
@Gibsonstandard67 Mmm I Guess it's Lidian b7, wich is the mode of this song... Melodic min up from the 4th grade, it's like lidian but with the minor 7 insted of major...
Holy crap that man can play!

Scott is a national treasure that America, sadly, has exported to Europe because our ears are on upside down and backwards.

Most people in the world are stupid fucking assholes and don't know shit about nothing. And that's how its always been and always will be.
Only a selected few know what it's all about. I'm one of them and so are you.

@moskinideo becuz recognizement by fools is never the proof of the value of anything. Artistry isn't a popularity contest.

@moskinideo because only idiots buy magazines and they're written for their audience

@thiagomassara I'm a die hard Beck fan but I agree with you.

There is something wrong with your ears.
Beck and Henderson are in the same league.
666patrickbateman666 2 months ago
@thiagomassara I would have to agree, Scott takes the use of the whammy bar into other worldly dimensions of sound!
KATAO333 2 months ago
@thiagomassara you can hear some Beck in his playing, espec on this tune, and he has some "Holdsworthian"(is that a word?!) flavor in there as well..

@soloquierosignearme
Yeah, I guess that would be the logical scale. But, in my recent studies... haha
I've found out, with some help, that it is variations of diminished, and lydian b7. So I guess we're both right
