  • you should really make a guitar version, piano sounds good, but for certain types of music you really need to hear a guitar. I've been looking a guitar version but cant find it, so you'd really innovate with it!

  • legit way to make extra cash online /watch?v=BMPhsRN19Ms

  • i see that a year ago you were working on a guitar version .. ?? ..

is there a release date? ..

  • I have Vers. 4.0.2 on my Iphone 3 and it works perfectly : )

  • You're the man!

    I love this App

  • @ocirne235 Does the app work on the latest version of the iphone firmware?

  • That looks great! Any chance of an Android version in the future?

  • I really want to get this app, but I'm not going to pay for it unless it is going to be updated so that it actually works on the latest firmware updates for the iphone/ipad.... The developer seems to have disappeared in the last 7 months....?

  • @phenochio

    @DaveCharlieC

I'll check up on it, But it's the first time I hear that it have been a problem.

  • um why isn't it working with the later firmwares?? :(

  • Any chance of an iPad version?

  • my iphone is jailbroken so i cant buy it!!!!! damn i want this but dont wanna update and lose my jailbreak

  • @beatryda5 : my iphone is jailbroken too, but I can buy it fine. in fact I've been using it today. great app!

  • The app is very easy of use

You can make this for guitar or tranpose for guitar option for novice users

    Thanks for your work

  • A really smart app, easy to use and an eternal source of insiration.

    Congratulations to the developers :-)

  • Sounds like a great app and I'll probably buy it. Just a question: can the list of chords used in a particular file be output in lead sheet format (i.e. spaced out horizontally with barlines and beat markers)? If so, I won't have to think twice about buying it! If not, could this feature be added in a future update? Thanks! J.

  • i love this app. you guys need to release it as like a vst or something like a stand alone for pc/mac

  • Dude, this soo AMAZING ! unfortunately I don't a iPhone or iTouch. But i do own a Macbook.

Maybe make a standalone app for the Mac (or windows :ugh) ?!?

    Nice job man !

  • Thanks pro chords this helps alot can't wait for the guitar version :)

  • But... I don't have an Iphone... :'(

  • Aaaaamaaaaaziiiiinggggggg! Just in time. I needed it so badly! Thank touhu!

  • This app makes me cream!

  • @PhatLad321 WOW! uhhhh are you FEMALE?? :)

  • @MagnumXL4177 - No sir I am not. Apologies for that, alas my parents were not blessed with the ability to choose my gender, nor was I blessed with such bodily parts that come with said gender.

  • Thank you prochords. This app is awesome.

  • This is awesome. Best app I have ever found!

  • This app is great! It expands my creativity and I love that I can compose and have a record of the chords wherever and whenever the inspiration comes.

  • Great application - thanks!!

  • This app is just what I've been looking for. Not only is it useful in it's intent, but it will also help improve my overall chord recognition and implementation in my music production. Simply put this is a great tool for those who know how and when to use it.

  • wow this app is really easy and useful though i usually have played guitar and sax! i would recommend this to my friends! and now i saw comments below from the author; guitar version is under development! plz let me know when the guitar verision is released!!!

  • Wonderful tool. ProChords, might there be an update where we can manually enter a chord and search?

    Loving this!

  • Pro: this is brilliant. I am an emcee who started making beats. I do the standard sample chop/drum track bs, bcse I don't read music or play keys. This app will now help me to compose REAL music! No more guessing horribly by ear!

  • the best thing about this is that you can leisurely fiddle with chords and then export to midi. this is good for bus rides airplanes or if you are too lazy to fire up the computer.

  • Amazing app, thanks!

  • Great for prog metal.

  • Its for Piano.

But if you know your guitar chords - you can use it for guitar as well : )

I'm working on a guitar version - but it is not out yet.

  • Can't Wait - Looking forward to a Guitar version with fingering diagrams. If we could take ProChords piano and import the chords into Guitar with fret board fingering suggestions, that would change the world!!

  • I would hope that it would just be an update for those like me who just bought this app.

  • I'm sorry to disappoint you : (

But there are to many differences between a guitar and a piano to use the same engine and design. Otherwise I had already done it.

  • Absolutley gorgeus and serious app. If you are a musician and need sometimes some piece of advice - the perfect app ! I use it also to teach myself again....must buy !

  • So maybe you should put a video with Jordan Rudess doing exactly the same thing. LOL

  • Do you have a video where you demonstrate typical usage of the app, you know, to actually make a good progression?

The tutorial is nice but it doesn't make me want to buy the app.

  • I did't make a sales video -This is the tutorial video on how to use it. : )

The idea with ProChords is that all the progressions you can choose have been used in one of the 9000 songs in the proChords DB. and there fore are valid progressions.

    If the chord have

5 or 4 stars: its very popular choice.

3 stars: have been used occasionally.

2 stars: has close resemblance with a popular progression.

1 star: has resemblance with a popular progression

Hope it makes sense : )

  • Great job guys! The variations at your fingertip are amazing. The best function is the most basic . . . it records your inspiration when it hits. And you know how fleeting that can be.

  • Thanks : )

  • My prophecy is that this app will be a huge success - nothing less.

It will be exciting to see which hits of the future will have a little thanks to Groundcontrol in their leaflet ;o)

Best of luck on the journey!!!

  • Thanks for your interest : )

It is in review at Apple right now - and they can release it any time. But according to their website it takes normally 14 days,

and that will be around Nov 10 2009.

  • Yes I see its available in the app store now : )

    Great work!

  • It looks really cool!

I don't know how many times I have asked my self

"What #€%& chord can I play here?!?"

But I can see that it isn't released yet -

When will it be in the App store?
