  • I love the performance! I think it is interesting that the opening is pretty much the same one we use, I don't see it much. But what I really enjoy is is the precision with the Sau Chois, and Pek Chois! Very traditional looking...... Thanks.

  • i guess things are a lot more mixed up then we think.

  • Pun Kwok mun is my uncle. He must be over 68 years of age in this video. He trained under Chan Yiu Chi and was the last wave of disciples. Runs a big school in the canton international school. His two sons and me exchanged hands after uncles favourite kung fu cha that would caffine you to the eyeballs many times in the late 80's in Canton. Master Poon Dik studied under Leurng Kwai and Wong Fook wing from Chan Koon Bak- we are same lineage. Chan Yiu Chi is Chan Koon Baks second son and inheritor.

  • I am a student of Master Tat Mau Wong and this form is the same as the one taught at my school with some minor differences in the opening

  • Interesting. How can you be sure this is not an original Lee Koon Hung form not related to Chan Heung? Afterall Lee Koon Hung's family were the first to broadcast this form.

  • Lee died for a while now, I respect him very much. I sugguest you to ask ur sources where you learn and confirm their comments yourself by visiting China, talking 2 older masters, doing you own research, and seeing/reading wth ur own eyes the oldest written record about CLF KF. I hope you'll learn a lot by then. My Sifu first learn this form when he was 6 years old, previously his CLF seniors never changed a bit of piece of it, including 3rd Geneneration GM Chen Yiu Chi, the founder's grandson.

  • This is not true this form has been around long before.

  • In terms of differences, the only thing that really stands out is where you do chuen, poon yeung chop - we do chuen poon yum chop. Aside from that a stance here and there is slightly different but that is to be expected as each player has their own style and flow.

  • Actually many people think we are mainly from Fut San CLF but in fact most of our sets come from the King Mui line. Sheung Karp Dan Kwun, Ping Kuen, Ping Jahn Kuen, Baat Kwa Sum Kueng, Moi Fah Baat Kwa Kuen are all from King Mui.

  • This is an original form from Chen Heung, and the school is Original Hung Sing Choy Lee Fut Kwoon in Guangzhou branch. Lee Koon Hung is mainly from Fut San CLF, there are some differences because of the concept Noi Nim Sao (inner chamber students) or Ngoi Nim Sao (openly learned students).

  • Hello, what lineage is this set from? The set is almost exactly the same as the version I know. My sifu was Lee Koon Hung.

    Thanks

  • I've checked Wong Tat Mau's form, it is definetely the same form, but I will say there are a few differences. It's very clear that Jeong Yim's students did also practised with their collegues 师兄弟。

  • Again while we have Jeong Yim in our lineage more of it in my opinion goes back to Chan Koon Pak. Poon Dik was a student of Leung Kwai and Wong Fook, both of whom studied with Chan Koon Pak. Our sets have very little in common from what I have seen from Fut San and much more in line with what I have seen from King Mui.
