  • Franklin had a small part in Bridesmaids. He was the father of one of the girls.

  • this guy is off the chain smart i bet his kids are nuclear scientists

  • Fukken hilarious! Very impressed.

  • Wow, child beating and "orientals" in the first thirty seconds. Times certainly have changed (although the Asian/oriental thing is an American conceit - in the UK "Asians" refers to people from the Indian sub-continent, whilst "Oriental" is still used to denote anyone from the..well, from the Orient, curiously! Language, eh?

  • @geffel "Wow, child beating and "orientals" in the first thirty seconds. Times certainly have changed "

I guess you've never heard of Russell Peters.

  • I remember an old 70's show called "Make Me Laugh" where the contestants tried to keep a straight face while comedians came up and tried to make them laugh. I remember one episode when Franklyn was on the show. A female contestant was sitting there determined not to laugh...Franklyn strolls up..looks her in the eye and said, "You kinda shy aren't you?" And she just busted out laughing and he strolled back to his seat. So cool. ;~)

  • whatever happen to this fine young man?

  • @snaps2385 FYI: I'm here because I saw him on "The green room with Paul Provenza"

  • @snaps2385 He was in Bridesmaids.

  • I just saw him on a second season episode of Barney Miller ("You Dirty Rat"). IMO his performance was perfectly understated, yet he was so charismatic that I immediately looked him up even before the episode was over. You have to be pretty talented to stand out on that show and he stood out. His delivery was so stylized and yet low key that I can best describe it as down-right "cooool."

  • I used to listen to this guy in the early 1970s. Loved him. Where did he go?

  • He wrote a good book

  • totally underrated comedian...thx for posting

  • HAHA! THIS GUY IS GREAT!

  • John Wayne Gacy, he's gonna be hard to beat! i'M gonna wait till next year. ;)

  • My favorite line from Franklyn is from the movie "Carwash" "..and whatever you do-don't mention cocaine--unless you got some.." see the movie to see this man's timing and pacing...true genius!

  • ..well blow me down...lol

  • This guy was and is STILL one of my comedy idols!!!
