  • She was so stiff :/

  • Floatsome and Jetsome look like lizards

  • Holy crap, if Ursula was a man, that would be AMAZING!

  • I love the way they did the tentacles :)

  • I love sherie Renee Scott she is too amazing def in Aida so wish i couldve have seen her in person such a great voice

  • i love this version but i also liek the original version, so i combined them for my adution ;D sure enough i got the part of ursula....which i shouldnt brag about considering imma be a gray fat octopus but shes epic :D

  • i think she is amazing , she is bringing something funny and new to the character :) its called ART

  • yeah, just a bit high...ursula was super deep which made her scary...this lady's not very scary to me...

  • It's not creepy. And that makes me sad.

  • To be honest I don't know why they had Ursula played by a skinny woman. Ursula's supposed to be fat, and its really a major part of her character, what sets her apart from other disney villains.

  • amy walker does it ten times better

  • @HUNKragor I agree. she does it amazing. She actually had emotion too, this lady, i personally can't act, at least in that outfit.

  • did not do that song justice...

  • Oh, I loooove her voice!

  • i dont know if its the costume or what but she seems so stiff and not doing much. and its not as ....evil seeming like in the movie

  • Wow,this is so cool!

And when she says `please dont laugh`

  • faith prince does it better

  • AWFUL! Speaking of "complaint'" I would like to file one with her acting/voice coach. She was way of pitch, and at times sounds more as though she was speaking. The hair looked great. Kudos to hair and make up.

  • This is one of my fav disney songs

  • is this from the DVD? the quality is amazing!!

  • OMG! Was no one paying attention? You can actually UNDERSTAND her this time. And I think she either had a little accident with the black magic or triton did this to her .

  • @TheAltoQueen For the Broadway one they wanted to make Ursula more colorful, more Sexy. they don't have to copy the ursula from the movie as long as you understand that this too is Ursula.

  • She doesn't do the evil Justice! She does the Broadway personality not the character. ;(

  • i like her hair and cos

  • this was a disaster....ursula was too cartoonis. she needs to be sly and scary

  • I think with the gargantuan money bags that Disney holds at its expansive waist, I would say that they could have invested in some creature movement...Other than the psychadelic blue/green bckgrd, there is nothing to suggest underwater activity...like have Ursula moving on stage, her tentacles flopping out here and there, not 2 much... and seriously, what's with Ariel's stupid fins??? God, can't even talk about it...the voices are good but come on, HELLO, did any1 see the Lion King??? Exactly.

  • i think i like her hair :D

  • just FYI two things: 1, I think it would have been hard to move around at all in the outfit if they chose to do her big. 2nd, I think they were using the concept of the sea witch from the original storyline. In the original story, the seawitch was a THIN Beautiful women.

  • her scarcasm is funny though. she seems like a fun lady.

  • SHIVERRRSSSS SHERIE RENEE SCOTT IS FIERCE!!!!

  • She's an excellent singer....but she doesnt fit the role. too peppy to be evil.

  • This ursula isnt a very good actress. she seems to fake. I understand that she is acting fake to fool ariel but her acting doesnt seem genuine.

  • For some reason Ursulas hair reminds me of Medusas....?

  • I want the Disney's Ursula back.

  • It's a good take on it, but I much prefer Sherie Renee Scott as 'Christine' from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, it suits her voice much better

  • I like her voice, and it isn't even her fault but she doesn't really bring Ursula to life for me.

  • Wow she has a powerful Voice O_O

  • I love her take on the sea witch. She has personality and just because she isn't overweight isn't a good reason to trash her.

Do you trash Flounder because he's a 10 year old boy and not a small fish? No

  • @SuppScott OMG thnx SOOO much for that comment! I was beginning to lose hope in the audience of TLM on broadway!!! I LUV Sherie Rene Scott, and I could not understand how these people could think otherwise of her!

  • I really don't like her as Ursula. Her voice is good, but she doesn't give me the creapy feeling that I have when I see the Disney movie...

  • I didn't like it... Why didn't se move more.. there was not sexuality on her, no charisma on the movie the fat squid is a woman that has certain level of sexuality, of interest.. why didn't she move? was the costume to heavy?

  • @5339751Pet

yeah that's the other thing that brought me down, no movement. It really stilts the character.

  • She is PERFECT as Ursula! PERFECT!

  • They should have picked a heavier woman like Ursala was in the movie and made a better costume. Still thanks for sharing I'd love to have seen the show!

  • i dnt see ursula, i see someone attempting to be ursula

  • It's cool that's it's going to be on tour, But EVERY TIME a good show from Broadway Leaves it comes out on tour A YEAR LATER. Wicked started the tour just in 2005 and it was STILL going on Broadway STRONG.

  • Um i dont think Ursulas spell worked perfectly on Ariel considering she has both feet and Tail

  • She's very hoity-toity sounding, uggg, I just don't see Ursula in her performance, nice costume though.

  • Howard Ashman is rolling in his grave because of this woman

  • not a good Ursula at alllllllllllll!!!!

  • Omg Ursula Rocks! lolz i'm doing the play in ma skool i got King Triton

  • Nothing for nothing but they really shouldn't have made the song higher... the depth of the voice is what makes Ursula that much cooler. Personally I think a man should have played a role. It worked for Hairspray and the original character design was based off of Devine, a dragqueen.

  • I think Ursula should have been played by a man aswell it is not like disney isnt libral enough lol

  • that would be very werid Usula bein a man ....k

  • I agree Double...Pat Caroll purposefully lowered her voice for the movie role...The Little Mermaid is such a classic, why do the Broadway people have to change it...Shakespeare isn't changed when it is put on stage...

  • Well, it may involve certain difficulties piercing ursula with the trident, but still yeah i agree

  • @Doubleohmags TOTALLY agree. This roll was meant to be filled by a male character!

  • @Doubleohmags I agree. This song was not intended to be a power vocal type of song.

  • @Doubleohmags While I think it would be awesome if Ursula were played by a drag queen, I couldn't really stay mad at them for casting Sherie. Yes, the part shouldn't have been written that way. Yes, the part didn't show off Sherie. But it was Sherie. Rene. Scott. I'm sorry, I can't help my fanboyism.

That said, if someone asked me, I would TOTALLY be Drag Ursula for a production of this. I think it would work, too. :)

  • I absolutely love her. Her expression, costume, voice, acting and just overall performance is perfect! I actually prefer it over the original(movie). I'm in love with an octopus lady :(

Pause it at 0:19, her eyes look like they're grey. so cool!

  • I absolutely love her rendition of Ursula. Her voice, her look, her facial expressions, her costume and her wit just all fit together so well. I'm in love with an octopus lady :(

  • Sonic, learn the show and the characters before you comment, THANK YOU! :))))

  • ursula has the serious sensual feeling to her she reminds me of matron momma morton from chicago but the girl playing it here gives it a full comedic feel and it just dose not work...I am not saying she is a bad singer just saying she should not play ursula

  • Not good

  • her voice is great but somehow,

    the ursula factor is lacking.

    she'll do great at morgana!!!

    (ursula's sis)

    great grea voice indeed!! ^^

  • I actually saw this, This excat one. It was my first brodway play

  • too stiff :/

    but, great voice.

  • I guess it's understandable, though. With that costume and everything. LOL.

  • Haha. Her singing and attitude are a nice fit. But I don't quite like her body language.

  • You just said what i was thinking.

  • She can sing, otherwise, the directors didn't choose her.

But, I've listend to the original song a 100 times, so I have to say that I liked the original better.

  • lmao 0:57 shes so funny.

this isnt one of her best performances, but shes fantastic either way. :D

  • ick, No likey

  • Look at those hips...

I really wished i could of seen this on broadway

  • I like it, but I think she could do more with it. I love when she puts style into it at 0:49. I wish she did more of that.

  • She definately embodied Ursula!!!

    I love Sherie Renee Scott!!!!!

  • I have a very hard time believing this is Ursula, this more like her sister Morgana.

  • lol, that's really true XD

    cuz morgana's voice

    is somehow youthful but evil

and ursulas voice is....pure evil. XD

  • Ugh. =.=

  • I liked it! Obviously no one can beat pat Carroll at it but I think she is really good!

  • I'm loving this vampy, skinny Ursula with the huge...butt :)

  • I like the Jonas Brothers version.

  • jonas brothers is better version

  • omg. she is terrible.

  • This is wrong!!!! That's not ursula! Too stiff and to thin!!!! :-(

  • psh, so? maybe ursula put her magic to use and lost a few pounds.

  • wow the "pathetic" part is so powerful. :D
