Have you looked at the models and the data, knowing the limitations of each, but also with a fundamental and hard gained understanding of the climate of the Earth for the past 100,00 years? I am a scientist, and have done so. And there is no doubt that this planet is experiencing greenhouse effect induced warming.

There are many sceintist that say otherwise, the modles first of all dont factor precipitation very well do they? And what about the fact that all the oceans of the world emit CO2 when the earth gets warmer? Wouldnt this indicate the CO2 is following the earths temp? Are you familiar with sunspots?

First off, there are NOT many scientists who say otherwise. Look at peer reviewed journals, go to conferences, there are almost no dissenting voices anymore about this, and the couple that there are usu in the employ of the petroleum industry. I am familiar and have studied everything that you mention. Incidentally, the real weakness of models is not precipitation so much as it is that the physics of clouds are not well understood.

Part 2, yes, the Earth has a natural carbon cycle, and yes, as the oceanic temperature rises, you do get an amplifying effect from CO2 and CH4 being released from "gas clathrates" in the arctic. But this is an amplifying mechanism. At the most basic level of things, we know approximately how much carbon we put out, and can compute the expected climate change from that, independent of any long scale trends, and we see it. The Earth may be naturally warming, but we are contributing to the problem

But its said that there was warm peroids hotter than the ones we have today, hundreds of years ago. Also I hear that CO2 is a minor greenhouse gas to begin with, and we only make a small portion of it. I found also that water vapor is the most significant of the greenhouse gases. Also, Theres a huge industry for global warmning, a lot more money is to be made from being an alarmist than standing up against everyone and looking bad for what you Belive.

Yes. 65 million years ago when dinosaurs lived here, you had about 5 times as much carbon in the atmosphere, and there were red wood trees near the north pole, the planet was HOT and sea level was very HIGH. The Earth goes in cycles. Carbon is A major driving force. The amount of water vapor in the atmosphere is a result of the amount of carbon. The Earth may be warming again on its own, but when combined with the effects we cause with our emissions, it is definitely warming.

The clouds and precipitation have a lot to do with each other dont they? I know the clouds are always moving and also there are gasses in the areas aroudn the clouds that were once thought to be nothing. Did the oil industry bribe Harvard?

Of course clouds have water in them and that is where precip comes from. What I meant is that the physics of how precipitation forms and falls from a cloud is well constrained. What is not understood very well is the physics of how clouds form. Sorry for not being clear on that. Yes water vapor is the biggest greenhouse gas, BUT, there are different wavelengths of infrared (heat), and different compounds trap different wavelengths. CO2 and CH4 trap different wavelengths than water does.

part 2 -- You don't know me. How can you say I am an alarmist? As far as making myself look 'stupid', two things. One, I hate politics and agendas to begin with, and two, I am only interested in finding the truth, and with global warming I don't care AT ALL what the conclusion is, I just want to know it!

Well I'm glad your not an Alarmist. So can you give me any info that shows the amounts of CO2 man produces compared to volcanos and animals etc? Multiple sources would be good. I tried finding this information but I found very shabby and sensationalist sites.

Well, what you need to do is get in the scientific journals for real data that people with agendas haven't been messing with. I can certainly help you with that. I suggest that we take this off of this comment board and use youtube member email to exchange information.

Thats fine send me emails, but I still want data on how much CO2 man made and animals, volcanos, ocean etc. if the amount is small enough the argument that it only takes a small amount to offset the delecate balance dosnt seem to hold up, as many other factors Im sure have shifted the amout of CO2 in the past.
