Though not necessarily my favorite interpretation, I absolutely love the 'freshness' she brings to this movement. A perfect blend of new spirit mixed with old charm...Brava!
It's technically sound and played with a lot of passion, but I prefer, for instance, Barenboim's interpretation. The masculinity and strong emotion of this grand finale "Das Wiedersehen - Le Retour" - the return of the Archduke Rudolf - is simply not present in the performance.
@kirkusinthecircus The trouble with classical music at YouTube is that there're all these Critics by Divine Right who always pronounce some judgment as to how the performance falls short. Of course, when you go to their own channel, there's never anything there. This place is infested with such frauds.
Well, jerome, there is a lot of mechanics in the way a piano produces sound. So a "little mechanic" should be OK. In interpreting Beethoven it is very important to be academic. I see no impediment in her performance reaching the heart of the listener, especially if one has listened to this piece many times before.

Bien ejecutada pero en mi opinion va muy acelerada. Este tercer movimiento debe durar al menos 6 minutos.

What can I say about her? As a pianist and musician, she has it all. I could listen to her for days on end. Simply amazing.

It's academic withour heart. It calls "les adieux"!
A little mecanic,
but she's a good student.
