Hey, how would you take off the front banjo from the macroline?

having problems with smart parts ion vertue eye, the eye is new gun was doing great into... when i go and turn on my eyes by pressing the power butten it turn it off. (the gun dose not want to turn muiliycolor to change the the 7 vertues, need help my birthdays coming and i need this gun fixed!

Would poor solenoid maintenance result in bad velocity consistency? Like 280,140,200,100, ect. Also would a bad QEV cause this?

@MrPyroEnthusiast It could, but more likely it's your regulator. Give it a good cleaning and regrease it. Check out nopopallowed's video on it.

@Ducatifreak999 it stipped the feed necks on my ions, so i bougt new feed locking feed necks and put a little jb weld on the threads before i screwed em in .you can barely notice it sounds ghetto but they have held for over 3 years now. your supose to use locktite when you install the feed neck before you have a problem .i stripped out the feed neck on my proto sent it to dye and they installed a feedneck with over size threads.hope this helps if not get new internals on ebay 30 bucks

ey dude not to be a dick but ions dont have Solenoids. They have QEVs. ion is a spool valvue gun. if it was a pop-it valvue then it would have a sol.

@TollMister sorry but you are wrong. This video is about the solenoid in an ion. A solenoid is just an armature that is reciprocated using an alternating electric field.

not at all jsut dont loose the parts and and if ur tht scared have ur local shop do it

not at all. the only hard part would be to re-soilder things back onto the board (a broken battery harnes for example) something like that is a shops job, but general maitenense is easy.

i watched this video earlier, so i took my ion apart afterwards and took apart the solenoid, but i found absolutely no dirt, grease, etc. i don't understand, because i know there should have been based on how much i''ve shot with my ion. i do have a tadao board in mine and it might but because of the HP hoses, but i'm not sure. do you have any idea? the only place i ever find grease is at the back of the firing chamber, a little on the bolt and a little around the top of the reg.

If you were dry firing turn your eyes off. It's not the bolt probably but I don't know for sure. I have had these problems too but I don't know your exact story sorry.

make sure the ends of the macroline are perfectly flat at a 90 degree angle

just replace the hose and re cut it, it should seal after it has been aired up for a minute or so.

no, there's no need to replace it. and the macroline will seat the moment that you air it up, not a whole minute after.

It might be too long or too short, both could cause a leak. Advise to re-cutt makes sense to me, unless he can garuntee it will still fit if it has been cut. Also sometimes it will take a little while. When i added new macro to my dm it leaked for a little when i first aired it up. It just has to seat correctly and it will seal.

There will be some air that still goes through the solonoid. You may want to clean and check it every once and a while but its not as important.

when i put air into the gun it makes it through the reg and the gauge reads that pressure is going through but when i pull the trigger nothing happens. eyes off still nothing. i opened it up and pressure was still in the gun. i lightly pushed on the blue hose and the pressure came out. any idea why the air isnt going to the bolt?

ball detents hold the paintball in place in your gun, so than if you point the gun downwards, paintballs dont just fall out of the barrel.

the qev stands for Quick Exhaust Valve, and it improves your air efficency, and some people say it helps your gun shoot faster. idk if thats true or not, but it makes the cycles more efficient. also, it helps to keep grease and dirt out of your solenoid.

Oh jeez thats not good. Yea from what i have heard it is fairly difficult to change. To take it off you have to cut a slit in the hose to get it off the solonoid barb. Then you have to get your replacement hose and try to shove it on to the barb. I really dont plan on making a video for this. Its just more work then i want to do.

check to make sure the battery wires are soldered correctly on the board, and open the battery harness and make sure those solders are alright. If those are all fine its possible the board is shot.

Ion pro (if i remember correctly) has a different barrel, feedneck, asa and a color body kit. Aside from the barrel those are all things that need to be upgraded from a stock ion. But personally i would want to decide what i put on my gun so i wouldnt, plus i dont think the price is all that great.

I noticed you held the red wiring stuff around the solenoid. you shouldn't do that, i can damamge it. just saying. and why would you buy grips before a qev??

yea well your just not suposed to abuse the red wires. If you just hold them i dont really think its that bad. I really didnt like the stock grips so i replaced them. I didnt really need a qev because without one the ion can easily go 17 bps which is as fast as the stock board will go.

jordan2002100- Are all your connectors in all the way? and the eyes are clean? Also in case you havent replace the battery.

If none of this works then what you can do is take the board and everything out of the gun (like i do in the video) Then put the eyes back on and put in a battery and try it.

paintballer1184- Im aware lol but i just spent a bunch of money on some other things so No QEV for a while. But i plan on a clippard/virtue.

INVERTmini3-I personally recomend HP for really any applications except for Angels. Go with HP just because no matter what it will work. LP sometimes has trouble keeping up with high rates of fire.
