  • You tank is grossly over stocked. Those convicts will outgrow it within 6 months.

  • did you film this with a moldy potatoe

  • The crab you have should be able to out of the water or else he can drown And i would reconsider having those Convicts because of how big they'll get. And maybe a larger tank. But if you want to keep this one i'd only keep about 6 or 7 fish. srry if this is even the least bit offensive but i;m just thinking of the wellfare of your fish. :)

  • What type of stand do you have the 10 gallon on ?

  • Firstly OVERSTOCKED

You say your cycling so you should have say the 2 guppys, test water week later test water get some more fish,etc..

The crab is not a good mix it will eat other fish Cherry barbs at least a group of 6, Convicts out, and the tiger barbs fsat aggresive fish that need to be in a minimum of 8

I would get 4 more cherry barbs, 1-2 more guppys, oh wait u have to males and 1 feamle WTF is wrong with you. They will pester the female to mate and kill her.

    GET 2-3 FEMALES

  • IS YOUR TANK STILL GOING WELL? IF SO WHAT KIND OF FISH DO YOU HAVE IN IT NOW? and how on earth do you cycle a tank ?!?!?!?!?!!?!?/i just got a 10 gallon and i dont know ifmi want to cyle it with nfish nor amonia .........anyways how did you cyle your fish tank????!?!?!?!?!/

  • Lol, that crab is either going to drown or escape... they need some access to the surface for air.

  • @treemagnet88 I realized that later. I thought he was suicidal, he kept jumping out.

  • @digger052 lol my crab always got up in my filter nd when i would go to change it he would always pinch my finger.

  • @treemagnet88 i had a crab named spike and i gave him a plant to climb up on but unfortunatly he found my feeding hole and escaped:(

  • Lol... no I meant, do you break down the tank and such? or do you leave it in your dorm? I am in a dorm as well and its sort of a pain to break it all down.

  • yeah, i take out about 75% of the water. Then move the fishes in the tanks, to the new location. Drive quickly, then u'll be fine. Add new water slowly, or use the same water you took from the tank (the 75%). Re-setup the tank.

  • @spongy90 I do the same thing with my ten gallon. I take out about 75% of the water and get to the next location as quick as possible while keeping the fish as safe as possible lol

  • @spongy90 I also have a 10 gal in my dorm. I use the big freezer size zip-lock bags and fill them with water then put my fish in them then sit them in the tank which I take out most of the water but leave about 1in of water in the tank. My trip is about 3hrs and I've yet to have a problem transporting them that way.

  • what do you do on spring break? and other vacations?

  • Mainly party. But I just leave them with my little bro.

  • @digger052 mainly party hahaha

  • nice watch out for the convicts... they can be mean (hence theyre name) but i got a 10 gal its a good setup

  • this is grossly overstocked.... get rid of the convicts (they'll kill everything if they pair up and they get WAY too big for the tank) keep the dwarf gourami and the MALE guppies only (or ull end up with hundreds of guppy fry) the crab needs land to crawl up on or it'll eventually drown, and the tiger barbs need a 29 gallon and groups of 6+, and the cherry barbs need 5+ with a tank 20+ gallons.

    Do research please

  • Umm, won't the cichlids get to like 5 inches? (at least) If so, the others may be in for some trouble.

  • whats the crab called?

  • how many and what kind of fish should i put in my 10 gallon

  • it depends on how much filtration you have, and i wouldnt put anything over 5 or 6 inches in it just a suggestion, if you have less filtration for a 10 just put less fish, I would reccomend dwarf gouramis, there reletivelly small and look awesome theres my input hope it helped:)

  • @MrThebesteva i would highly recommend 5 tiger barbs and 2 spotted coryadoras

  • What kind of crab do you have in there?

I though they need a place to get out, what kind is it?

  • i can answer that, there can be a few black line rasbora's, bronze corydora's, have some tetra's (i like the cardinal tetra's, and make sure there in atleast groups of six or more) tiger barbs, bala sharks, angelfish, discus (quiet large and need atleast 15 percent water change weakly instead of 10, and a good filter) and you can get a crayfish, look up cichleds, these are all examples of "hardy" fish, make sure u research the ones you want, like bala sharks will eat baby tetra's. there ya go!

  • i would recommend livebearing fish if it is your first tank. (Guppies, molly, or pallies) and the rule for fish is typically 1inch of fish for every 1gallon of water. So in your case, you could get 10inches of fish.

  • hey is that crab a fiddlor crab? if so can they stay under water for inter life?

  • It's a red claw crab, but i belive that they can stay underwater. Although mine has some wierd fascination with going up into the filter and staying there.

  • o okay lo lthank u! nice tank too

  • I have the same crab and mine likes to escape the tank and run around the house.

  • nice setup man!
