The best camera is the one that works best for you. $800 is not a lot if it is that camera. People Blow $7K on M9's and are convinced it is better than a 5D mark II. Its about the tool, not the price.

@loudogg3367 The M9 is still a full frame camera with exquisite performance, this would be the same as if Leica had shoved a M43 sensor into a $7k camera. Sigma is trying to price an APS-C foveron camera at $7k and people are eating them alive for it. This Q garbage that has zero justification for existing; under no circumstance will it render as sublime as its competition so don't you dare ever mutter real cameras like the M9, or heck any 'budget' DSLR or Evil camera in the same breath!.

This matter can be handled simply. We only need to see the pictures produced from the camera and compare them to other cameras within the same pixel range. If they are decent/good, then it's worth the money for its other benefits: relatively low cost and high portability.

As for this Pentax, doesnt seems to be the BEST camera of the year at all but it doesnt look that bad either! We need to test it first. Unfortunately the price is waaaaay to much! At least 500 would be a fair price!

This is the smartest camera system introduced in a decade. It's true forward thinking, and letting technology take care of sensors, but dedicating everything else to ultimate performance in smallest size possible. (Just a year ago people believed APS-C sensors will never beat 35mm sensors, but now APS-C beats them tech wise). This is interchangeable camera system of the future, which is hard for many to accept simply because many believe "bigger is better". Well, even iPad proves you wrong.

@master777999 First of all the cameras functionality is in no way related to the size of the censor at all... The censor size do mainly relate to image quality and low light performance.

If Pentax really were interested in giving the user most functionality then they would have made it into a micro 4/3 format camera.. but they didnt.. and thats typical for Pentax, they are working so hard to go out of business and its sad because the make a really good medium size format camera that kinda cheap.

Sweetheart if you look at any review of the C3 its clear that in video mode the Sony contrast based auto focus is NOT fast.. The SLT phase detection auto focus system on my Sony a55 is fast but its NOT the same system the C3 uses. Sony have NOT cracked the contrast based auto focus system like Panasonic have for mirrorless cameras. The C3 can't basically auto focus in video mode!

In GF3 you are stuck to that tiny weak built-in flash. GF3 has nothing on C3 when it comes to IQ. C3 is a DSLT in a compact body. C3 has more in-camera features. Oh yea Sony NEX C3 is cheaper.

@ceejayclassic Sony NEX-C3 doesnt win anything.I have a Sony a55 and it works great, but after seeing what the C3 can do and how its contrast based auto focus is completely useless the C3 doesnt win anything.

The Panasonic GF2 and GF3 wins hands down over both of those two.. Having tried the GF3 at a tech show in Germany its auto focus is as good as the Sony a55 but the a55 win on image quality.

Panasonic have really cracked the contrast based auto focus that suck so bad for other manufactures.

Having tried the Panasonic GF3 its as fast as the auto focus on my Sony a55 and with the touch screen and ability to rack focus Panasonic actually edges in front of Sony.

larger censor...LOL.. yeah compared to a full frame 35 mm censor like in the 5D mrk II it's HUGE and works so well... no sweetheart the C3 has a tiny bit bigger censor than the GF3 but the end result and picture quality is the same and you cant spot the difference even if you tried 100 times...

I can't get over all of the negative comments I've been reading about this camera on the Internets. Personally, I would love one and think it's long over due. For those who don't get the concept, this camera is not for you.

The only fly in the ointment is that Nikon is supposed to be working on a similar camera with a larger sensor - but that also means larger lenses.
