I don't know why, but I feel that it would be cool to hear some kind of break beat by Jojo Mayer played to that tune in the end. Not that the jazz stuff isn't great, Igoe is an amazing drummer, but I just visualized it in my head :P

Not everyone has the pleasure of a full acoustic kit at home. That's just my thought I could be wrong.

Its think it's to show that anyone can jam out and have fun even if you don't have acoustic drums. Like me... I have no place for acoustics but so I have electronics and I'm grateful I have them and also that Tommy plays a few grooves on them! Nothing is like the real thing I guess but I'm glad I have something. I play with the Groove Essentials tracks everyday.

No, he's just telling the truth about drum physics. I have this DVD and it's so amazing in so many ways. Totally transformed my playing. Tommy is an incredible player and educator. I met him at a clinic last month and he's the nicest guy possible.

God damn, that ride cymbal... I had a teacher once who lent me his flat ride to mess around with for a weekend... Only cymbal I've played that seemed to have a genuine volume knob built into it. The dynamic control was so outside of it that I felt cheated playing on my ol' trash can lid afterward.

Nice - I'm not the biggest fan of electronic kits but I have admit that jazz patch on the TD-9K is pretty authentic sounding - especially the snare.
