I thought this was an environmental advert to do with how the electricity for everyday things is produced, before I saw the Volkswagen thing at the end. What's shown is actually happening, probably with less pollution than shown, it's just happening somewhere else (at coal-fired power plants), so it's out of mind.
It'd be more economical to modify the existing fleet of cars to use greener energy conversion mechanisms, and for people to retrain to do this. Obviously that's not going to happen en-mass!
@Zolega89 I live on an island of 246 square kilometres (95 square miles) and even here they're a non-starter. No range worth mentioning, the batteries are gone after five years, and there aren't enough rare earth metals (for batteries) on the planet to have any sizeable percentage of cars be purely electric. Purely electric cars are an evolutionary dead end.
Forth, the amount of power it would take to power every elecrtic car say in the US was projected to be a 10% increase in electrical usage so it wouldn't be hard to just put up more solar fields to off set that raise and because the increase is aggregated over a long time span it is well with in current abilities to increase the power to the grid. No to mention all the money that we'd save from not paying for over 100$ barrel of oil.
Lol just to let u know electric cars use coal ur basically not saving any energy your using more.... if u have electric cars your just gonna need more coal wats the point nd your gonna end up saving nothing so electric cars don't save anything!!!!
Selbstverständlich macht das Elektroauto nur Sinn, wenn es mit Strom aus erneuerbaren Ressourcen betrieben wird, nicht mit Strom aus Kohle- oder Atomkraftwerken
@luvluvluvme100 There is alot of data on this so I suggest you do your research a little better. For one coal fire electric plants are far more efficient than a gas engine and produce less waste. Second gas powered cars put the waste directly into the air were most people live causing up to 2 times the amount of deaths from engine pollution than do car crashes. Third the power to charge a car will be used usually at the low usage part of the day, which is in the early morning.
What's the name of the song? ♥ Renault~

Haha!
Great commercial! :D
This is EXACTLY what it feels like when you've driven e-vehicles and go back to fossil-vehicles... :)
But Nooooooo... Electric cars sucks!! It can't be done, we dont have the technology!!
Those who stands by the above are either funded by oilcompanys or complete morons, take your pick! ;)

Hmm if you can exclude more things then all cars are 0% Emission....

Didn't Renault pretty much copied the concepts of this ad from Nissan? Not that i'm complaining! Both advertisements are amazing!
