got a question: what is the name of the special effect you gave it in the voice?, sounds like some sort of reverb or special echo which sounds very nice and add some robust entity to the song that were used back then on the 80's
BTW, I noticed a nice country kinda style tone in your voice from this song.
have you ever tried country music as well?
Aaron Tippin, Allan Jackson etc..
I ll bet you you will also own them aswell, you go the talent and the voice.
@tichfuie On the vocals, (lead and backing harmonies) I used delay (mild echo) and reverb. Logic Pro Studio has so many variances of delay, and reverb, I don't recall which specific models I used, and what all of the parameters were set at. Yes, I have played lots of country, as well. During my career, I have played everything from Chicago, to Frank Sinatra, to Hendrix, to B.B. King, To Willie Nelson, to the Allman Brothers, to the Beach Boys, and all points in-between.
very nice voice, I watched your other videos and they are awesome too,
Gratz
but this one i just love it better than the original artist, no disrespect to the original singer :-) , but you really owned the song and gave it its own style..
I am an 80's guy, those where my good 'ol times, back then 80's music where so revolutionary and unique so much different than todays.
i guess we were so lucky to live those good 'ol times.
@tichfuie Thanks, again. I don't have the high range that Matthew Wilder has, so my version is transposed down to make up for that. I agree, on the '80's. Something had to pull us out of the horrid disco era. Thank heavens, a "new wave" of musical approaches, and styles arrived to do just that. There was such a diverse mix of artists that came on board, and brought great music to the table. Having always been big on vocals and production, it was a great time to be playing.
@tichfuie Thank you very much. I have been a musician/singer all of my life. I have my own studio, and I wanted to record some songs that I enjoy, this being one of them. Thanks again - J.P.
