Yeah. It's half sim, half arcade. It's a sim because it has one of the most realistic physics engine- if not the most realistic engine on the market. It's arcade because it rewards you for being aggressive and the weights of the cars were changed. It rewards you for being precise as well; the aggression and precision points are there so you can develop a "reputation" in the game.

btw, there is damage. It only affects the handling and your car's appearance.

It will be realistic. There will be an option allowing you to have damage be visual or affect the performance of your car. If you choose to have it affect the performance of your car, you will see things like the top speed of the car drop, or the handling in the corners be a little more loose.

Importet for me is the speed feeling.

So i would say speed is speed on the race track or on the street. Also I want support that need for speed is launching games for PC, too, not only for XBOX and PS3. During my holidays i wanted a PC game but there was nothing. This was the first time in my life that i was in this situation.

A demo would be nice but i think i will buy it without a demo,too.

Need for Speed SHIFT will be out for the PC along with XBOX and PS3, so no worries there :)

Also, we really feel like we nailed the sense of speed these cars get. It's most noticeable in the cockpit view (imho) because that's the view we really worked on boosting in this game.

Regardless of whether or not you use the cockpit view though, the speed of these cars is definitely felt :)

It's a really fun game, but much different from SHIFT. Nitro is very arcade-y, but still a bunch of fun to play :)

this is a proper racing game (pretty hard to say after prostreet and undercover lol) its based on gtr2, one of those extremely real computer sims and is supposedly even more realistic than that.

OK, this might be realist compared to other nfs games, but that's not hard. Also watch the driver profile video, it shows that you get points for crashing into people and spinning them.

The driver profile is all about categorizing you as a driver. There are precise drivers (those who clean pass, follow the race line, etc) and aggressive drivers (those who draft and aren't afraid to bump another car). Both accumulate points, but it's not like you have to hit drivers. We use a point system to help determine whether you're precise or aggressive. This way we're able to better match you up against other drivers like you when you go online! But you aren't forced to crash into them :)
