This is what the Bujinkan looked like 20 years ago, so good for you my martial brother!

But often enough people who go for self defense classes will be frail individuals who are not normally 5+ Dan in Martial arts. It's funny how the U.S.A. has one of the highest crime rates but we don't teach our basic police martial arts, I have nothing against our police (my father is one, and after I'm done with the marines I hope to be one too) but we need to teach our police more than simple pressure points and come-alongs.
@combatdragon good thing the defender is also being compliant or else the other guy would be maimed and/or dead... of course the have to be complaint or serious injury would occur. the drills are to get your body use to the movements so it becomes instinct, so when you must your body follows in high speed like a twitch.

Most of these techniques are not ninpo at all, they are done with bent backs, no taijutsu, the weapon techniques wouldve ended up killing the person defending. Not good stuff in my opinion :(
hmmmm, i like this concept of a relaxed sort of fighting style(works well enough in systema), i see a lot of this stuff works but not strung together, they should separate the moves and they really need to practice this with a paintball pistol with the enemy firing as he gets taken down to insure these techniques can work.
@stanthema Very true. We were training with firearms defense techniques and once the paintball guns got loaded we were amazed at the difficulty and speed that was needed. Once you've been hit about 5 times at close range, you tend to get really fast, hehe

Sorry guys nothing in this video reflects any form of TRUE Ninjitsu. I was taught by Kansetsu Oba in the way of kugi kiri. Some things you just cant fake.
There's some really nice work there.. I think thedisarm from "gun to the head, hands up" might work a bit better if the hands were closer to the gun before moving. You can get them quite close yet look authentically scared and submissive if you kind of cringe and bring yr hands close to yr face as if out of fear.

1st Action: He would have to have eyes in the back of his head to know that guy was coming from behind, his move was preplanned. Next he grabs the gun out of the back of the pants, as if someone just happens to have it there. The attacker also seems to be flimsy with his moves, this does not portray real life. All the moves are predetermined.
This guy is good only because the attacker is stupid in his attack. If you want to shoot somebody no need to be upclose, just shoot them from 20 feet away. When you use a knife use fast stab movements out and back in FAST. Not like this idiot who leaves his arm out to be grabbed.

Again, don't be discouraged. I have been training various levels of security professionals for years. I saw a number of great techniques. I like your use of fluidity and the fact that you use half locks to create imbalance and pivots. Wonderful.
There are far to many haters out there. The truth is that someone commenting negatively is usually ignorant or unskilled. They think MMA fighter are street fighters. You have some great technique my friend. I hope to stay in contact with you.

@JingShenKuoshu Go jingshen too many people do think MMA is for street...little side note many things that work in the cage FAIL on the street because in the cage i cant punch/elbow you in the nuts repeatedly when you mount me or when fall to guard knee your nads or headbutt you on a clench or choke....really they really really fail! not that i agree with the techs here but really people are silly about theyre wannabe macho stuff.

This is ridiculous. He put himself in the line of fire at least once with many of those gun defenses. And almost all of those techniques rely on you getting the same reaction from your strikes and holds every time. That just doesn't happen. Learn Krav Maga, people.

1st Action: He would have to have eyes in the back of his head to know that guy was coming from behind, his move was preplanned. Next he grabs the gun out of the back of the pants, as if someone just happens to have it there. The attacker also seems to be flimsy with his moves, this does not portray real life. All the moves are predetermined.

Good show, but poor personal defence.
Hand vs hand is ok.
Weapons counter attack are extremely unsafe: good movement , but major basic errors.

This guy is good only because the attacker is stupid in his attack. If you want to shoot somebody no need to be upclose, just shoot them from 20 feet away. When you use a knife use fast stab movements out and back in FAST. Not like this idiot who leaves his arm out to be grabbed.

Lol, the people talking sh#t about this video are the ones who would run up talk sh#t with their gun pointed at someone and get owned by precisely this type of placid laid back technique.
I think the majority of this stuff would work.. and I'm convinced the guy doing it would pull it off in the real deal. (Your not supposed to know he can do that as a random thug lol). Dont forget the element of surprise.. der.
