Good grief! I just realized that Randal Bays was the guitar player on Martin Hayes first album, "Martin Hayes". That was amazing guitar playing in its own right, some very serious musical talent in this man.
This is really masterful fiddle playing and the tune is amazingly Fahy-esque, beautiful work and a fine tribute to a great musician from my home county. I hope someone will have the wit to bring these lads over for a festival someday. Can't think of a fiddler in Ireland I'd rather listen to, now the old ones are gone.

I've worked with Davey and he is one of my favorite guitar players. He listens to the other players. Great friend as well.
