Ok all I can say is get in a two-point so you are prepared incase your horse does something like what happened above. It will ensure a better position. Very cute horse you have. =)
uh going in 2-point with a spooky horse is exactly what you shouldn't do, it will not ensure a better position, it will put you ahead of the horse and make it even easier to fall off, where as sitting back and even a bit behind the motion will keep you balanced even if they spook jump. please don't try to give advice when you don't know what you're talking about.
I do know what I am talking about. I've been riding since I was a baby practicly. Riding with a two or three point to a jump, especially as small as this one keeps you balanced and if the horse spooks then you simply sit down and sit back. I'm not trying to make a fight break out by the way, I'm just stating a common point. =)
uh you do realize that 2-point and 3-point are different right, do you even know what they stand for? and you're right, it is a common point however you don't seem to understand the difference between the two.
I do understand the diffrence between the two, I'm not an idiot, I've been riding for nearly 20 years. I don't see why this is such an issue, I was just suggesting what you may want to try.
yeah except for the fact that you're making bad suggestions and contradicting yourself. that's what i find funny on youtube, all the people that think they know everything and try to give people advice.
Whatever, I'm not trying to start a fight just trying to help. You don't have to be so rude, and I know that I don't know everything in the world like some others may. So please settle down and don't be rude.
Haha. She definatly didn't need to be cantering to such a small jump. Don't worry, Phantom jumps like that all the time. You just have to get used to it. Just try to go with your horse. Its pretty hard, but you'll learn. Good job&& GORGEOUS horse :DD
heheh actually, most top riders expect their horses to be able to jump up to 3' from the trot. Plus it looks like she's under the watchful eye of a trainer ;D
nice one lol. dont worry, ive had that happen b4. that happens 2 the best o the best;) lol except me;) but next time wen he does sumthin like that ( i learned the hard way XD) just stay and lean bak. but other than that, graceful fall lol
omg your horse is soooooo adorable! that sux you fell off...but like my barn people always say "You arent a real rider until you've fallen off at least 10 times!"
just as a tip, when you fall let go of the reins. in most cases the horse will be frightened when you start pulling on the reins and will start dragging your backwards at a fast speed.luckily that horse didn't deicde to do that but just for future reference.
May I use? Yoi will get full credit and the link

Yes, well shes not "most top riders" and her horse isnt edzactly a legend either ;D
skyandkit 3 years ago
right, but this isn't a "top" jump, it's MAYBE 2 ft at most, and almost any horse could do it from a stand still ;D

If you give him a squeeze just before he gathers himself for the jump, it'd encourage him to keep his speed up and you'd both make it over!
