  • This was, hands down, the most amazing performance of my 8 year marching percussion (middle school, high school, college) career. It was also my last. Bass #6.

  • Still never gets old.

  • I Love This Video!

  • if the fans weren't screaming, then i could have given this video a thumbs up or add it to my favorites :/

  • I am a WVU grad from Charleston, living in Perth, Australia. I CANNOT wait to come home! I will be leaving Australia tomorrow (Thursday 10-21-10),traveling 11,500 miles and taking 33 hours. I CANNOT wait to go to the Syracuse game this Saturday. From a Mountaineer from the Land Down Under - Let's Goooooo Mountaineers!!!

  • @schs1977

Sorry you got to go to thaaaat game. I think this coming year will be a lot better.

  • I am an LSU fan and was at the game last night. Let me tell you, the WVU Band received more cheers from the LSU fans than the team did all night!! I was in the Arkansas Razorback Marching Band for four years, and I think this show was one of the most impressive I have EVER seen! Thanks WVU band for making that game last night not a totally boring experience!!

  • @sue10161994

Thank you for the kind words, it was a fun trip for us even though we didn't get the outcome we wanted.

  • I wish the crowd would just Shut The Fuck UP!

  • @dylanorse1550 if you want to hear the cadence buy a CD, if you want to hear a f*@#ing amazing reaction-by football fans- to a college Marching Band about to take the field, watch this video.

  • that gave me goosebumps!

  • WEST BY GOD VIRGINIA!!!!!!!

  • i know how this cadence goes... it goes "wooooooo!!!!!!" fucking stupid crowd there's nothing to cheer about yet

  • couldnt hear it over the fucking people

  • Funny comments...tell the crowd to be quiet so you can hear. lol Ask the drumline or the rest of the band if that's what they want. They were eating it up. When are they ever going to get that kind of adulation again? The band is awesome. The drumline is awesome. WV fans love'em. You should never go to a Mountaineer game and not see the pregame. Very special for this Mountaineer anyway.

  • You are totally right. I was part of The Pride for 4 years. Nothing beats running out onto the field in front of a loud and crazy crowd.

  • well said

  • Sweet....

  • Hard to decide what was better - Pat, Steve and Co or the awesome performance pre-game. Always proud of the Pride of West Virgnina!

  • My favorite boogie cadence of my four years... looovved this one.

  • Jeez those fans need to SHUT THE HELL UP you can hardly hear the drumline... yeah its good to cheer for them and stuff but to cheer over top of them so you cant hear a single thing thats just disrespectful...

  • ...wait what?

  • since when is cheering bad?

    did i miss the memo?

  • well when someone's giving a speech, do you clap loudly nonstop so no one can hear what they're saying? Cheering is great of course, but not when it prevents people from being able to hear what's going on.

  • Yes, its great..but you can barely hear it. Thats the point. Sheesh.

  • The funny thing is, WVU fans only filled up 1/4 of that stadium, and they were louder than all the UGA fans.

  • i play tennors. drum line 4 life baby. this drumline kicks major ass

  • damn! that is the LOUDEST crowd i've ever heard for a marching band!

  • look its dave!!!!!

  • DAMN FOOTBALL CROWD YOU GUYS ARE ASSES

  • i feel sorry for the tuba players because me and my friend are both tuba players in the braxton county middle school 7/8th grade band in WV and i know its not fun sometimes carrying them around

  • lol are you serious? carrying the big ass tuba is bomb. i mean you're always heard and its not that heavy. sophemore year i played a brass sousa than we bought contra's your probably carrying sousa's because contras are more arm muscle. you'll get adapted to the weight n/p just don't think about it

  • I played the tuba at Ravenswood High and Glenville State. I LOVED carrying the thing around. Man I miss those days.

  • tubas!!!

u need to think about tha drumline carryin around does heavy ass drums allday

  • Tenor on the left is to far back

  • DAMN...The crowd is loud!!!

  • LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!!!

  • damn listen to that crowd dman they have prode n an intimidating roar

  • this seriously brings tears to my eyes

  • lol weak sauce.

  • I've watched it hundreds of times and I still get chills.

  • that crowd is deafening! lets gooooooooooo mountaineers!!!!!!!

  • i wish ppl would shut up so i can hear the cadence. sheesh.....

  • This was definitely memorable because it was the Sugar Bowl, but you have to see the whole pregame (home game).

  • I saw this drumline a couple of weeks ago....they are amazing.

  • woohoo GO WVU

  • dude...i saw these guys at the wvu vs. eastern washington game this season...and even though it wasnt a big game...the pride was rocking. i cant wait til i see them again. the drums are amazing. the pride is a true marching band

  • They are amazing to see live.... if you ever get the chance, don't pass it up.

  • and the crowd goes wild....

  • LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!

  • gave me chills, keep up the great work, Pride!

  • Get the "V" straight...

  • we don't normally start from that point

  • Couldn't hear them but they look like they were cranking.

  • thank you! a corps style drumline that knows how to get down.

  • Freemason3, this particular clip is an example of traditional-style marching band, commonly referred to as big-band or dance-band style, popularized most-recently by the motion picture "Drumline."

  • excuse me, i know what a traditional band is, thank you. i'm in one. look us up: NC A&T blue & gold marching machine. and drumline was not what popularized us. our style did.

  • freemason3 when your school gets a football team and a band you can talk.... so sshhh

  • you don't know much about NC A&T do you?

  • we have a football team and a band. our band, the Blue & Gold Marching Machine of North Carolina A&T State University, is popular all around the country. obviously you don't know shw style bands, so you be quiet. thank you.

  • I beg your pardon, but do you even march?

  • yes i do march. see the aforementioned statement.

  • Well my bad. I couldn't tell, just because whenever I look up NC A&T Marching Machine, it's always in the stands or something along those lines. I was jsut surprised to not see ya'll actually /march/. My mistake.

  • I like the big southern marching bands. I've never heard of NCA&T, but I'll look you guys up. I know a guy who was DM in NCCU's band, so I've seen videos and stuff of them. They're a lot of fun to watch. I'm a fan of bands like that; NCCU, FAMU. Show bands and stuff like that.

  • Back in the day, the line was all Star of Indiana, Crossmen and Cadets cats.
