Yeah, in every subculture everyone is all "U DON'T HAVE TO DRESS METAL/PUNK/ROCK/EMO/WHATEVER TO BE ONE OF THEM. YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE THE ATTITUDE AND CLOTHES DON'T MATTER blah blah blah, but the truth is that fashion goes along every sub-culture and fashion is how members of different sub cultures recognize each other. Every one of you who is saying that clothes don't matter is probably dressing in the style of their culture, maybe they shouldn't matter but they do. Fashion follows everything.

When it first came out, people did start to wear more leather, ripped jeans and bandanas, but yeah, that didn't mean it was interily a fashion. Also some people only want to have a metal look, without actually being metal, so I think that what this video's for.

you mix metal and punk, not so good. besides, metalheads who wear the same metal style all the time are not true metaheads but POSERS. personally, I wear everything. I got my (real, because I'm literally blind) glasses, my boots, my jackets, my chloe bag, stilettos etc. and, I listen to black metal mostly (forgotten tomb, xasthur, summoning, watain, behexen) and classical music (pianist+opera singer). my friends can't describe metal culture better than I and know I'm real. Read this before you read the rest. (If you dress metal but aren't metal there's no point.) If you wanna dress metal get a leather jacket or denim vest , buy some band patches and put it on the jacket, get some black band shirts (bands you know!!!) , If you can have long hair go for it, black boots or high tops, blue or black pants, studded wristbands and spiked, and maybe one chain or so. But, if your not metal you shouldn't just dress metal, metal is something you feel inside of you.
