  • I got to shoot one of the widows last Saturday. The gun was older (at least 10 years) so they may have improved since then, but the grip was square and uncomfortable, and the trigger weight had to be upwards of 12 lbs.

  • I was shot in the chest by the 22long version. I laugh when people laugh at the size of the gun. They have no idea how much it really hurts to be hit by it.

  • @Transatlanticism1000 Well normally I defend the .22 as a viable (if less than ideal) defensive load, but that fact that you were shot in the chest and are typing about it isn't a great selling point. Hurts a lot isn't the effect most shooters are going for; kills a lot is.

  • I carried a MINI .22Mag with the 1 5/8" barrel when I was a cab driver, & then when I ran my restaurants. Semi-retired, I sold it for what I paid for it. MY BAD. I missed it so much, I just ordered a new one. I have other so-called sub-compacts for CCW, but they are all too large when dressing light & I find I tend to leave them home more than carry them. THESE NAA guns are good to go no matter what you're wearing, and as I did before, I will soon once again never leave home without it.

  • Really like the NAA revolver. I've been wanting one for a long time, and since I'm turning 21 in a few days I think I'll have to pick one of these up soon. Just trying to decide between the Black Widow and the standard Magnum. If I got the BW, I would definitely pick up a set of the wood boot grips from the NAA site. The stock grips would be super-comfortable but don't lend well to (backup) carry. Good video, I appreciated the comparison.

  • @RevolverPhantom

I am no fan of the look of the oversized rubber ones, but they are super comfortable and really aren't too bad in the pocket and are easy enough to draw with

  • Nice informative video. Good to know why its not good too shoot 22lrs out of a 22 magnum gun. Thanks.

  • When the hammer is set in to the safety notch do you have to set it back on to the bullet to shoot or will the cylinder move in to place on it's own?

  • @damachofrmBC

these are single action, so the shooter needs to pull the hammer back each time

  • @GunWebsites I believe what damachofrmBC was trying to ask was if you have the hammer on the "saftey" notch, then cock the hammer does the cylinder rotate into alignment with the next round or does it then have to be rolled manually from the next notch?

Not sure if that clarified the question but it was what I was curious to know myself. Thanks for the vids!

  • @PatriotTNPr

Yes, single actions work as you say. When the hammer is pulled the cylinder rotates. Don't matter if it is starting from a live chamber or the safety notch

  • Can you get the black powder version of the companion with the belt buckle holster?

  • @MrAlastairf

    yes

  • bUT between the Pug in .22 Mag 1 inch and the other mini revolver with the 1 5/8 barrel the Pug has no ballistic advantage over the longer barrel .22 mini revolver?

The 4 inch Mini-Master in .22 Mag is supeior to the Pug with 1 inch barrel .22 Mag

  • bUT between the Pug in .22 Mag 1 inch and the other mini revolver with the 1 5/8 barrel the Pug has no ballistic advantage over the longer barrel .22 mini revolver?

  • I FOUND OUT THIS SITE WILL WORK ON MINI MASTER WHICH CAN ONLY HELP ACCURACY SINCE THE SIGHT ON THIS GUN IS ADJUSTABLE FOR ELEVATION ONLY.

  • Does Laserlyte make laser sights for the NAA Mini Master with 4 inch barrel that shoots both .22 LR and .22 MAG in two different cyclinder?

  • @microminiskirt

I think the top of the frame is too wide on the mini masters, but I don't have one to test it on... yet

I am pretty sure I've seen people put the lasers on the Pug though..

  • @GunWebsites TALKED TO LASERLYTE AND YES THEY DO MAKE A SIGHT THE SAME ONE WILL FIT A MINI MASTER WITH 4 INCH BARREL. YOU NEED TO USE THE SHIMS THAT COME WITH SIGHT. THIS MINI MASTER CAN USE THESE LASERSYTES BECAUSE THE SIGHT IT COMES WITH IS ONLY ADJUSTABLE FOR ELEVATION ONLY. I'M SURE ONE CAN GET A LITTLE MORE ACCURACY OUT OF IT WITH BETTER ADJUSTABLE SIGHTS.

  • @GunWebsites DO YOU KNOW IF THE PUG .22 MAG WITH 1 INCH BARREL HAS ANY ADVANTAGE TO THE OTHER .22 MAG MINI REVOLVER THAT HAS A SLIGHTLY LONGER BARREL 1 5/8?

  • @microminiskirt

the pug has a big dot (easy to see) front sight, and a unique grip

  • Hey Gweb, I am thinking of getting one of the mini mags as a 3rd string sock gun. What do you think of them being used in this context?

  • @Peidmonte89

Thats what I use them for

  • @GunWebsites very cool, thanks for the info man.

  • They still make the .22 LR ones able to fire .22 shorts right?? I am thinking about buying one

  • @GunWebsites Thanks for the quick response :)

  • Heya Bro! I HAVE to do this.......so don't take it to mean I don't appreciate your video, because I do. I love them all!!! But.....you called the 22 short a "novelty." Would you volunteer to be in the line of fire of one to prove one way or another if it's just a novelty? lol I know it's an on going debate as to whether or not any 22 round is a formidable self defense round. My personal opinion is that any firearm is better than none at all. Love the vids Bro!! Keep them coming!!

  • @ZippoVarga

    No, I know it's a firearm

But I am not going to recommend to anyone that they should carry the short.. carry the PUG or other magnum if you want real protection from this form factor

I mean novelty as in it's intended use, in no way do I mean to say the short is a toy or not a firearm in some way

  • @GunWebsites I know my Friend..I was just razzin ya. Actually....my personal carry IS the Pug, and I feel secure knowing it's at the ready. The shorty gets more attention at the range than any other Mini I take along because of just how small it really is. I hope you have a great New Years celebration!!!!! Catch you next year!!! Cheers!!

    Zippo

  • @ZippoVarga I do not think that anyone questions whether a .22 short is capable of killing someone; a sharp stick is capable of such. Is a .22 better than a sharp stick? Yep. Is it better than a .380? Nope. This argument goes up to 9mm because, arguably, don't gain much past 9mm.

The main issue with these guns is the reliability of rimfire ammo. If you shoot a lot of rimfire, you know misfires are much more common. For defense, get some GOOD ammo that will go bang every time!

  • I'm not into guns, but I'd like to cop me those in the future.

  • Would you recommend the holster grip option?

  • @donoraen

Its cool if you like it

  • a friend of mine was shot with a 22 short in the knee back in 1985, till this day he still limps..another friend of mine was shot in the face with a 9mm at point blank range..beside the small scar that the 9mm made under his eye (point of entry) you could never tell he had been shot unless he told you..friend shot with 22 short..well noticeable limp..don't underestimate any caliber weapon, it could be your first and last mistake..

  • I dunno why there are huge arguments over caliber. Any gun is better than no gun. (Unless it is smaller than .22 lr in which case I'd rather use an arrow) Unless you live in inner city/downtown Detroit/San Fransisco most people HAVE NOT been shot before meaning just shooting them in the chest will probably suffice. In fact just pulling a gun out on just about any would be robber will probably scare the crap out of them.

  • great guns, with several applications, and accessories! The tons of grips, styles, and holsters are a bonus. Great gun for deep pocket carry!

  • i have the 22 lr love it easy to carry. I want them all.

  • The version with larger grips and 4"barrel looks sort of cool, I wouldn't give a tin crap for the microscopic sized version.

And definately get it in 22LR, not 22 Mag. The magnum is a waste from the itty bitty barrels, just barely better than the standard .22 and certainly not worth the cost of ammo.

  • Are they reliable if you fire many shots? I would like to take it shooting often just for fun.

  • Over explainer.................

  • @pragon9876

    Under interested....

  • @GunWebsites you made my day, oh and great video. :)))))))) ok this is an hour later and I'm still laughing. Long day very long day for me.

  • I have a blackwidow with improved sights great little gun, high quality. And for thoses that think that they are toys a 22mag has a muzzle speed of 1600ft per second and 200ft pounds of energy. A380auto has 950ft per second and 200ft pounds

  • whats the price for a new black widow with wood grips?

  • THANK YOU SIR FOR THAT VERY USEFUL INFORMATION.

  • once more the stupid weapon based thought americans,

the world would be a better place without america i hope a rock falls from the sky and kill you all!

  • @seth3po LOL, all your country IS worth is a rock that fell from the sky. Petty envy won't make your third world country any better. America could fall apart and Portugal would still be a 3rd rate forgotten third world country!

  • are these california legal?

  • this maybe sounds like a stupid question but could you use the Black Widow as a pocket revolver ?? would it fit pocket pants

  • @RoyalAlba1

    Yes

  • @GunWebsites which is why i want one! ;)

  • What's the difference in ammo from the 22mag and the blacc widow?

  • @RickyVoorhees The Black widow is a .22 mag.

  • hello nice and cool revolvers you have there of north american arms ^^

that black widow looks so nice ^^ would you recommend it for pocket carry ? with a 2" barrel ? it looks so nice and pretty ^^

  • "The .22 magnum is not an ideal round for self defense?" Oh, really?.........

My Black Widow will blow a hole the size of a silver dollar through a watermellon at 15 yards.

I sure would hate to be the watermellon.

  • @messagefrombilly

    Big whoop

My hammer can smash a water melon too.. does that make is IDEAL also??

"Ideal" has a definition and .22 mag is NOT it

  • @GunWebsites

LOL! Uh, unless you're Plastic Man reaching out and smashing anything with a hammer at 15 yards is going to be difficult.

  • @messagefrombilly The .22 magnum is a great round and will be pretty effective at self defense. That said, it is not an ideal round for self defense. A .45acp will do more than the .22 magnum ever could. I agree with you that a .22 magnum is still plenty capable of killing someone if need be, and a small comfortable gun that you carry all the time in .22mag will do you a hell of a lot better than big heavy .45 that you hardly carry.

  • Well-done. The black widow (as well as the others) look like they are good carry guns.

  • I still don't trust the 22 cal because it's a rim fire. Sometimes the primer will not ignite the powder inside the casing. What is your experience with this, have you shot alot of 22s?

  • @star3448

Like many people I have shot countless .22

I guess it might happen once in a while, but at the cost of .22 compared to other ammo.. who really would disregard it simply on that potential?

  • @star3448

I hear this claim all the time and I've NEVER had it happen over the 40 years I've shot 22 rimfire.

  • how much does the the 22 long cost and were could i get one and were could i get snake shot

  • Nice video, although it focused mainly on the Black Widow, which to me is the least effective of all the NAA mini revolvers. At virtually the same size of a Kel-Tec 9mm, one would have to question the benefit of a single action .22...

  • @ dollarbill47

I disagree, the Black widow is nothing like the size of the 9mm keltecs,, maybe their .32acp.. but not the 9mm

  • Kel-Tec PF9 9mm: Length = 5.85" Width = .88" Weight = 12.7oz

    Black Widow: Length = 5.88" Width = .88" Weight = 8.8 oz

    Kel-Tec P32 .32ACP: Length = 5.1" Width = .75" Weight = 6.6 oz

  • @ TheGunsDoKillPeople

Pills look like candy, poison looks like juice, coyotes look like puppies and C4 looks like play-doh ...

So who are you going to cry at and falsely accuse next?

How about you reference an example of ANY child shooting ANYTHING with an NAA revolver, since these have been around for decades, you must have thousands of examples to cite..

oh wait, it's NEVER happened, so you are crying about something that you think might happen..

    Go lie and cry elsewhere

  • As you will not change my mind about guns I will not try to change yours.I have a gun why to protect my wife and myself from harm I wished I did not need a gun but hey crazy people are living among us.I feel that if we ban all guns the only people that will have them are the bad guys the people that do not follow the law.A gun in my hands would only be used to protect.Yes and if a criminal where to attack you I would also protect you.

  • its a brand. they have thinner brass on the primer and a the shock of the other rounds going off makes them go off.

  • make sure you don't shoot pmc ammo in them. I had a double discharge in mine and had a nasty gash in my thumb with alot of powder burns in my face.

  • what is pmc

  • They make a lot of fake copies of this gun in the Philippines. I wonder how they stack up compared to these original NAAs. . .

  • @miGsKills

The NAA guns are of the highest quality workmanship and materials, I would wager the Phillipine knock-offs are poorly made crap by comparison.

  • They most likely are. . .

They cost about 1/4th of a real NAA, but I wouldn't put my fingers on the line by using a backyard made revolver.

Philippine guns are great (RIA/Armscor) as long as they are made to specification in a factory and not made in backyard tool sheds.

  • i got a pretty ignorant question but do these revolvers have rifleing in the barrel?

  • good question, yes they do

  • My buddy has the .22lr with the folding clip holster on it, very cool little piece. You can throw it in your pocket like a carry knife and you don't even notice it.

  • Nice Reviews

  • I have three of these also.I love them. I have a pug model. They all shoot great.5*s I'd save that cardboard box.

  • I like the Pug model a lot

  • Have you measured the velocity of these little gems ?

  • no, we don't have a chronometer.. we are working on getting one though

  • I like the folding holster grip on the Black Widow... fun little revolvers!

  • this black widow does not have a folding grip

  • I know, I'm just saying that I like the folding grip...

    naaminis (dot) com/mag_custcry.html

  • Oh OK, I wasn't sure if you meant this one

  • cool video

  • great video
