there is nothing wrong with binkies at all, but yeah, by 2 or so, good idea to deep six them...20 years ago, our pediatrician said that they were more helpful as security comforting items than to simulate nursing, which is what my son did...
nothing funny aboutit if he is 16 months old then he shouldnt even have them. just like a bottle once they hit 1 year break them off i have 3 children and none of my kids had pacifers
I wrote and published a feature called THE JOY OF BINKIES, about my son't facination with them as a baby. He is 19 now, and I still have 3 of his binkies, and we hang them on the Christmas Tree with fishing line! Let me know if you want me to send you all the story.
