lol, wow, he's getting big. i think it's so adorable how he points his bitty toes out sometimes like a dancer when he's sitting on his bottom. is he getting better at balancing on his own when standing up, not holding on to anything?

It totally depends on the baby. Whenever they are ready :o) But they should be off the bottle around 1 year. So we got him using a sippy cup at 6 months and then randomly he stopped using it lol

Yeah it does depend on the Baby, no Two Babies are alike! :)

Sometimes breastfed Babies tend to shy away from things like a "Sippy" but when they do its not a method of comfort for them like a bottle is or a pacifier.

So they tend to not use it as long as a bottle fed Baby might.

However as before no Two babies are alike. just go with what you feel Your Baby needs and talk to your Babies Doctor about ALL concerns & thoughts even if they seem silly!!..they can provide much insight! Good Luck!

Do you think his gums could be hurting/itching when he's using the sippy cup?? Just a thought! Maybe he won't go back to the sippy but a BIG BOY CUP!! He's just gettin' so big and growin' so fast momma!

Nah, I don't think it hurts his lips. I think he just prefers his bottle, so he doesn't want to bother with the cup anymore lol! He knows how to drink from a big boy cup if we hold it for him, but we need him to be able to drink from a cup on his own!

haha jayden does the same thing in his walker when he tries to open up the cabinet but the walker is in the way lol Have you tried the doctor browns sippy cup?? it's the only one (and we bought just about every kind they make) that jayden will drink out of. He drinks out of it everyday now.

No we haven't tried that one yet. I know he'll use one, he just has to get used to it again!! It's so strange that he took one so well at 6 months and then out of nowhere acted like he had no idea what it was lol

lol "were going to lower your cholesteral" he is just so cute. How long has he been trying a sippy cup. my cousin just started with them but will only have apple juice in it and wont take milk. So hes having a lot of apple juice lol

He'll be saying new things soon, he really pays attention to things and keeps trying to comunicate... cute healthy baby boy. Not to mention he's freaking funny with his faces and expressions..

He actually just did it on his own at 6 months. We handed it to him and he drank from it for a while. Then he just stopped and didnt like it at all!! So we are trying it again, but he just has to want to do it.

Have you tried taking the stopper out of the sippy. I mean that way you have to kind hold the sippy all the time but I think if he gets more out of it when he sucks on it then he will like it maybe lol IDK just a suggestion. hehehe he is getting so big man only 10 weeks and he will be 1 thats nuts!

Insane I know! Yes, we've tried that... he just doesn't like it anymore!! We bought every cup you can think of and took the stoppers out and he just loves his bottle too much! It's so weird that at 6 months he used it like a pro and now he acts like he has no idea what it is!

Did you try the ones with the straw? If you have no success just try him on a regular cup. He would be a big boy then. Do you brush his two little teeth they are so cute. He says mamma i will get that all the way open one day. HAHA

Yes we brush his teeth. And we've tried a real cup before. He does good with it, but he doesn't really like it. We'll find something!

Well I wouldn't worry to much. You can always just use the bottle. He isn't one yet. So its perfectly normal to try to reintroduce something after taking it away for awhile.

My daughter is 13 months and I cant for the life of me get her to use a sippy cup...I have been trying since she was 9 months...still no luck, I bet I have bought just about every brand there is....none are a success. lol Let me know if you find a good one that work with Tripp!

Tripp only has 2 teeth and he does great with them. We just have to break them up into small pieces and he just chomps them with his gums until they disolve.

AW That was a great video. It wasn't boring! It is so much much fun to watch him blossom into a person. This age is fun! Still a baby, but now a real personality is showing. And he's trying to talk! Yea lol! He's still working on balance, so when he stands up, he tends to bonk his head on stuff. Or when he crawls, he forgets there is something in front of him! He's getting better though :o)
