  • Love and miss the stubbies!

  • 50 is such horrible tasting beer .

  • Thumbs up if you're born in 1973!

  • Bring back the stubby, longnecks are a weapon..... No one ever got hit or sliced open with a stubby, unless it was thrown!!

  • Oh those horrible early 70's when a single income could buy you that at 35 hours a week ...

  • Had a buddy who never used to chill his AT ALL! This was so no one would bum his beer. Only time I ever drank warm beer was when i already completely F@#ked up and didn't care anymore.

  • my old man used to slam these back 24/7

  • Im waiting for Ron Burgandy to pop up

  • BRING BACK THE STUBBY!!!

  • im enjoying a nice cold 50 while i watch this, cant beat a cold 50 on a hot summers day with the boys!

  • sends like David clayton thomas

  • wtf is with the drive by "Enjoy"?

  • My first beers were "50's" in stubby's. Growing up a teenager in Quebec in the 1970's - it was a cosmological law of physics that one's first taste of the brew was from a "50" in a stubby.

  • hey labatt - bring back the stubby.

  • awaye la femme, sort nous dla biere

  • ahhh, the stubby, I remember in the 70's my father would drive with one between his thighs, he would open it with the metal end of his seat belt while driving with his knee, I know this sound crazy now, but this was typical at the time, nobody cared about drunk driving

  • My dad found an IPA stubby in the cooler of our beer fridge at our camp about 10 years ago. It had micro organisms floating in it it was so old.

  • @quaxk so did my dad....lol

  • Good Day,

Answer to fizbin321...yes we did have beer in cans in the 60's etc. They were large steel cans...kinda like a soup can today, only smooth walled. Had a pull-tab...

  • Did Canada even have Beer cans then? I believe it was stubby bottles only. We were so behind the times. We still are when it comes to buying the stuff.

  • @fizbin321 , behind the times?? thats one way to look at it. the other is that Canada loves america to be its guinea pig. They let americans come out w/ it it first and if it doesnt suck, Canada will jump onboard. if it sucks, Canada wont even bother with it.

  • @fizbin321 Cans make it taste metallic. There is a difference between being behind and being resistant to stupid ideas.

  • I like "50"

U dont have to BE 50 to drink it!! lol

    EH

  • i love this beer ! old

  • They still make that shit?

  • As far as I know they do... its an old mans beer

  • there is nothing like a good labatt and a big bucket of kentucky fried chicken. and then BURRRRP

  • There's nothing like diving onto the 14 Hastings after a hard day at the office to crank back a few 50s!!!

  • @defaultuser404 Note that it's BC Hydro not Translink... old times

  • Stop chattin' with yo bitch and drink that 50!

  • I can't wait til I can go home and start drinking immediately!

  • @thecat029 Well since its Labbat 50 he's probably from Laval and so there is nothing else to do.

  • @TheLloydRizla01

Hey ! He could go shopping or drive around on one of our beatiful highways. Or mowe the lawn or paint his driveway!

  • @thecat029

To then wake up at 1:00 am and drag myself to bed

  • @frepi How true. Or better yet wake up and not know where you are!

  • He just can't wait to get home and start drinking immediately.

  • ha ha ha... Coming home to my beer!

  • heh, 50, my dad's beer.

  • Fuck I could go for a cold Labby fiddy right now-have to be in a stubby though

  • I get it. He takes the bus to work because of all his DUIs.

  • It was almost impossible to get a DUI in the 70s.

  • My dad managed to get one, though...

  • this is just like when my dad would come home...instead after he drank he would beat on my mom and me. ahhh good times :(

  • Utopia, simply utopia.....

  • Man, my old lady never passes me a cold beer when I get home from work.

  • Haïe t'as bien raison! On voit personne en boire dans l'annonce! La femme donne la bière à son homme mais il y goûte même pas!! Ca niaise, ca sent mais personne ose y goûter! hahahaha

  • Wheres the part where he gets shit-faced and beats up his old lady?

  • 50 is sooo Dad beer.

  • I love the American Flag wrapped up in the background around the 27 second mark!!

  • I don't think it's an American flag....

  • It looks like it IS a U.S. flag graphic on some kind of poster. There is also a stylized maple leaf. God, he has an ugly wife! No wonder he hits on his buddy's wife near the end!

  • Me and the boys and our 50.....hahahahaha love that comercial, first beer i stole from the ol' man

  • no he didnt twist the cap ,,he had a bottle opener

  • or "church key" as they called them!

  • Yep..there was nothing like hoppin off the old bus..gettin home..suckin back twelve 50's and throwin the old lady around the house after she got on your nerves

  • the perfect beer for the dull guy

  • "Gonna have a new beginning when I get home again"Lmao....the company is'nt there at the end of the night when throughs the table upside down hammered lol.....ok I went too far.

  • Okay so I lied!!! hahahaha

  • He twisted the cap on the stubby bottle. That's impossible. Stubby bottles were never twist open. you had to use the bottle opener.

  • you need glasses

  • I admitted I lied
