There's is maybe one dance move at 1:44 that closely resembles a move used in the "Thriller" video but as for the rest of it it's nothing like it! At one point they do a jumping twirly move; there's nothing like that in "Thriller".

The parade has to be the most horrifying scene in all of Final Fantasy. This evil sorceress is becoming their leader and they are cheering her on because they have no idea who she really is! It's reminisent to Hitler and Germany. It's amazing how misleading people in high power can be. FF8 really knew how to pull at real life themes and get emotion from players. It's amazing. All of these scenes give me chills
