Well, whatever the case is with the coin toss, after it was tossed and it was decided who was flying and who was gonna freeze their ass on the bus, it was Waylon who said to Buddy, "I hope your plane crashes" after Buddy told him, "I hope you freeze ur ass off!" Just a slight correct to the video clip towards the end. Waylon Jennings didn't lose his seat to the coin toss. Buddy Holly made Waylon give up his seat to The Big Bopper who had a cold and needed to see a doctor early the next day so he could sing the next night. It was Tommy Allsup who lost the coin flip to Ritchie Vallens.

I read on this website, that there was gun found at the plane crash. & it belonged to Buddy. But there were rumors that said the pilot was shot. &'that perhaps Richardson survived the plane crash and was trying to get help. But Dr. Bill Bass took X-rays of the body and found nothing to support those theories. Richardson had massive fractures from head to toe &'he died immediately.
