This shelter was an epic fail. It could have been something great. It is IMPOSSIBLE to volunteer since the staff are so nasty to the volunteers, the price for a puppy is 400 dollers total and that is as much as Portland pets. AND if they find your dog, who got lose, and you have no proof of ownership, they will NOT give your dog back. I volunteered there and regretted it. An elder dog was loaded with fleas and the one dog in this video, Carmella, has been at that shelter for THREE years!
