Does anyone else wonder whether her hate with Fiona also had something to do with riccardo? Maybe I'm just a romantic at heart, but maybe she was angry because she couldn't be what riccardo wanted, and that riccardo was so obsessed with fiona bearing himself. It seems like a little evidence was revealed in the film, when he told her something and she kind of curled in on herself...

Wow. When she told Fiona why she was after her, she sounded human and vulnerable for the first time. And it's probably the most honest she'd been with her, or ever would be again.

It's amazing how young and lost she sounded, which is a radical shift from the cold, ruthless monster that had been chasing you.

I'm personally ashamed to see such shallow comments. I- for one, believe Daniella one of the most complex and well thought out characters out there. While she was a hell of a fight and annoying to beat, her death really saddened me. As a person, not a living doll, not an alchemical abomination, but as a person she was ultimately good. Her dying with pain, with feeling gives the character a reason to have suffered through all she had. Yes, it's sad. Yes, her death was brutal. But it was peace.

Yeah, you're right, she really is a character to be pitied, even more than Debilitas. I mean, I always found it hard to feel sorry for her while she's chasing me, but her death scene makes me realize just how tortured she really is. To be a living manniquin, a walking, talking doll, that's got to be the worst. No wonder she longs for emotions and feelings. :(

Daniella is jealous not only because Fiona is human, and can feel (pleasure / pain) but because Daniella craves attention from the 'master' who so happens to want to catch Fiona also.

Daniella is a Humonculus (man-made human) who believes said "Azoth" will make her fully human, hence the insane almost 'pleasure' like wailing if Daniella kills you and it goes to the death-screen.

I haven't even played this game, but I do love her character, because a lot of actual real people go through the same fate and it's understandable, though some people of course wouldn't go 'insane / psychotic' from it because, well, some of us have morals ;)
