Thanks for the progressions and the 3x10 goal. For your straight leg lifts and v-situps and other prep work, please elaborate on your training frequency. Did you start on pushup bars or something higher?
I meant to reply a lot earlier than this, but I just want to say that your progressions worked perfectly. I hit a 7 second l-sit about a month ago using your progressions. I've stopped training my l-sit momentarily but irregardless thank you very much!
Quick question: When you say that all steps require a 10 second hold using 3 x Fail, do you mean that I should be able to do 3 x 10 and then move on or is 1 x 10 satisfactory for the next progression?
In my case, I have been practicing the bent legs L-sit and have gone from a 3 second hold to a 20 second hold. So can I move on now or should I see if I can do 3 sets of 10 seconds each and then move on to the one legged L-sit?
What I meant was that I used a 3 X fail method, but I've heard that it's better to do a set time limit. The time limit I suggest everyone uses is 10 seconds at least before moving on. What I did was something like 10 seconds bent leg l-sit and I'd fail the 11th, then I'd move on. But it's better to do 10 seconds and not fail then move on.
I'd say that if you can do 3 X 10seconds, move on.
wow, great video, man! I've been trying to learn this skill as a fun core hold, but its been proving tricky! These progressing steps should help, thank you!

@Freemusicweekly No I can't. I have a back/hip problem now and I can't extend my left leg straight, so I can't even do L-sit properly without pain.

Гребаные пендосы! Нафига делать обучалки по таким простым элементам. Уголок может любой школьник.

Very useful video. The common-sense progression exercises are especially relevant for someone who is disciplined and practices each and every day.
Thanks!
