I did not cry at the scene but I have to admit that the sleepyhead comment and Link's expression made this scene the most emotional in the whole series. For a game that focuses more on gameplay than story, I think this was really well-done.

When you first meet the old lady, Zelda in her Crystallized state can be seen through the door behind her. Which means, that at the time, there were 2 Zeldas in the same time period. What happens to the second Zelda? But then Zelda goes back in time, creates the crystal. You're seeing something that was created not only in the Past, but in the Future as well. In other words, in the Future, Zelda went into the Past to make the Crystal, which also exists in the Present. Dat time travel Physics.
