Outra FALHA GROSSEIRA de Xuxa era abusar em mostrar a bandeira do Brasil no programa nos USA, alem de sempre tocar no assunto que era Brasileira, falava isto sem vergonha nenhuma e com muito orgulho.
"She's here, your daughter"... LOL. Xuxa's English is so funny, because she didn't speak English the way we do, she translated it literally. That may have hurt her success in the US :(
also it's so lame they let the gladiators win, i bet those kids were pissed. if that kids mouth wasn't so tiny he probably could have beat the time. lol
Jam the Jaguar was Mark Caso, a gymnast/stuntman. Jelly the Panda was E.E. Bell, an actor - to a degree known as Bob Rooney on "Married... With Children". As you can see, Jam had the MOVES, Jelly didn't really do much movin' around.
man the cheetah is in such better shape than the panda... you got the cheetah doing back flips while dashing and talking, and then you have the panda who can barely move in his outfit let alone losing his breath while talking and running at the same time

The bad thing is she tried to create a show that works really well in one culture to a culture that's completely different... and that's why it didn't work (plus she didn't know english)...
one of the other things people commented here... I believe this whole thing about sexuality is something that's completely subjective... In Brazil, there was not one kid that saw the short shorts, dances and things as sexual... maybe it's because people are very comfortable with their bodies and sexuality, and it's not that big of a deal... there are way more perverts here than in Brazil...
You are right. One time I was showing a co-worker a clip of the Paquitas and he quickly minimized the window, because he said it was too suggestive for work. I was confused for a bit, but then I thought about how Americans think when it comes to showing skin.

@mapliopl if you see her interviews and you watch the videos where she is spaking she is really respectfull and is very inocent. maybe new york can be the richest city in the world but the way of life in rio de janiro is beach life 365 days per year 24/7

one of the other things people commented here... I believe this whole thing about sexuality is something that's completely subjective... In Brazil, there was not one kid that saw the short shorts, dances and things as sexual... maybe it's because people are very comfortable with their bodies and sexuality, and it's not that big of a deal... there are way more perverts here than in Brazil...
