50% throttle (ctrl plus (+). (Numpad +) 3 seconds for liftoff to ignite solid rocket booster. Use either downloadable autopilots to align to vessels or the system displays in the cockpit view.

Make roll to align a orbit exactly after leaving the tower. Decently rolling downrange 80degrees @5km altitude. 70-75 degrees @9kilometre.

Throttle up to 100% main engine (ctrl plus (+)

60degrees @ 15km

50degrees @ 20km

By banking the shuttle 90degrees on its axis after the srb seperation

You can go to the moon in Orbiter, but not with the Space Shuttle. The Space Shuttle can't produce enough thrust (at least not without the solid fuel boosters) to get out of earth orbit and head for the moon.

Don't know the controls? Don't know how to play? Read the manuals and/or do the tutorial flights with the Delta-glider. That's how I started too. I now have to figure out how to do interplanetary travel ^_^

It's called the ET, external tank. There's a number of processes that go into this, including MECO (Main Engine Cut Off) and ETSep(External Tank Seperation) that all need to occur at the right times. Failure of ETSep is a problem, and you cannot land back on Earth with your ET still attached. That'd be suicide.

He did, he released them before entering orbit, but he released them after passing into space. That is correct anyway, how else would the shuttle maintain the speed needed to get into space? It might just appear that they release them before leaving the atmosphere to the uneducated eye like your own. Top grammar by the way.

Because they need to keep an eye on the orbiter it self. They wouldn't be able to see it if it was facing the other direction.

there is no auto pilot unless your watching a video you either let it sit or control it all times or save and come back some other time OR fast forward

haha your shuttle must have a warp drive (2:55) :D i like the shuttle model and smoke/flame effects in your simulator though.. maybe it doesn't have the best ground textures or flight dynamics but it's still pretty cool i think- see my shuttle videos too if you like!

its just because sometimes people dont want to wait forever to ge tto a certain point so u press R (slow down time to 0.1) or T (to fast forward to 10x 100x 1000x 10000x and 100000x)
