@Sopiyoyo I thought You need a software such as Eye Tv To manage and record the stuff from TV using the device itself??!! I mean if you need to EDIT part of your recording what do you do? Also, what's the different between 720p and 1080i.... thanks mate
@SuperBenLinus there are many kinds of video edition software such as vegas or premium. You might want to google 720 1080 comparison around. theres tons of article about it
This is the best I've seen so far as far as quality is concerned with the hd pvr. I have one and I would like to know what settings you use to get your picture so clear
wow that's awesome quality...especially with the football bit...i have a question...im kinda new to this whole happauge thing...does this work with standard definition channels as well or do the channels have to be in HD in order for it to work...like does it upscale standard definition to make it look HD?and does it record standard definition channels in 720p-1080i?
i know its 720p, and they lower the bitrate and resize it to 480, so even tho the file is 720p, but we are only looking at 480p online.
the original file i uploaded was around 210MB, and they rendered it down to 35MB (i just downloaded it from youtube), thats 6 times smaller, and then they show it on a small resolution, which will make the compressed video look better even it got compressed 6 times smaller.
well, 720p is better than 1080i, and most of the hd box outputs 1080i only. in fact, youtube takes 720p or 1080i resolution video clips, and they will re-render it down to 480p, the HD version is Youtube is not 720p, it is at 480p DVD-sized resulution with higher bitrate, so it looks HD, a fake HD i should say, but hey, it's free and fast~
man what software did you use for this??

the hd set top box was 1080i, and recorded in 1080i as well

youtube only takes 720p. So even if you have a 1080i clip it will only be 720p on youtube.
