  • Yoko hovers like a black shadow.... and contributes? Nothing. But if John loved her? Well, okay.

  • god bless you john lennon

  • The guitar is a 1965 epiphone casino. I've got one, great guitar.

  • Does anyone know the make of John Lennon's guitar during this video? Email me please anyone, thank you.

  • @SubColours It's an Epiphone Casino

  • @VeryTruthHungry did i not say i was 12? im happy that people my age like the beatles too but people don't need to know your age.

  • 4 people need to take a trip across the universe!

  • Genius on high. Out takes would fill Shea all over again.

  • george is my inspiration hes the best guitar player in the world

  • yoko, uber ugly bitch, you destroy the beatles, take responsability for it and burn in a musical hell

  • @sicoticosandro Why do you think Billy Preston and Eric Clapton were brought in? The tension within the band was music related, it had nothing to do with Yoko.

  • By this point they were both sick of hearing each others songs. John didn`t want to play on Paul`s songs and Paul wanted perfection on his.

  • @whyyeseyec lot of smiles though? :/

  • i know the lyrics to across the universe is "nothings gonna change my world" but the beatles DID change my world, and for the better. They truley helped me and made me such a better person, and i salute them. They're music lyrics made me think and inspired me with its beauty, and their personalitys' and humor always gives me a good laugh. Theyre charm, music, and everything. i fall asleep listening to they're music, and believe it or not, im only 13. THANK YOU sooo much beatles.

  • @beatlepaulandjenn79 - well articulated young dude and guess what, their impact doesn't fade with time. I should know I'm over 50. There is always something to discover. That's why I think they're in the genius category (much as that term is thrown around like confetti these days). Keep rockin!

PS: if you haven't got into The Who yet do so pronto

  • @beatlepaulandjenn79

i dont care that your 13 and the beatles changed your life cuz thats basically the case for about 99% of the people watching this video. i understand your love so go ahead and say they're awesome (because they are) but you REALLY dont have to say your age. im 12 and i live for the beatles but i never said that once in a beatles video, trying to brag about my good taste of music. i keep that to myself.

  • SLOW DOWN - I LOVE THAT BIT - TIM HEALEY LOOKS TERRIBLE IN BENIDORM

  • Thanks 4 sharing this AMAZING tune/video ... MY ALL TIME FAVORITE <333333

  • Damn, I love this song

  • flying across the universe! still pass to the left please!

  • porque en let it be paul sale siempre con la boca abierta? xd

  • I prefer this version than the other one.

  • I hate Paul... He is singing like a mouse;/ Luv John and George

  • @cwaniak293 "I hate Paul... He is singing like a mouse;/ Luv John and George"

Wow, so you hate him personally or you hate his music or both? I don't care if you hate him as a person, but his music is brilliant and the Beatles, as we know them, would not have existed without him.

  • @cwaniak293 - zanim zaczniesz śmiecić fora w obcym języku weź kilka lekcji - znawco wokalistyki. Obciach.

  • krishna!!!!

  • beatiful voic john i love you

  • love you

  • geroges guitar sounds freaking amazing

  • ‎, " Everyone " , " Across The Universe " , appears to be, watching the fullmoon, " 4 " , arrival having " Wolfman " , critically to consist, beyond extended features, growing fangs ladies, are appetizing the, attraction of nightmares, Elm st. 2 included, as I'm positive, of the great, anticipation with Harry Potter, & The Deathly Hallows pt2, " Hogwarts " , may we all, awake to these, 2011 movie scenes !

  • George wrote this song. Jus sayin'.

  • @DanDoesThat False.

  • John... Rest in Peace .. Thanks for all... you'r emy inspiration in the Music. :) you're a real symbol for me...

You're not the only one dreamer, I'm a Dreamer Too (:

  • who idiom is jaiguru deva om

  • i love paul...he sings very beautiful

  • Paul looks very disinterested in John's song!!!!!

  • @ironcitydevildog It's George's song.

  • @DanDoesThat Ah that's a big negative ghost rider....John Lennon wrote this song. On this particular album George wrote I me mine, and For your blue only!!!!!

  • @ironcitydevildog

    I noticed the same

  • the world's largest, the rest is rest

  • estes caras brincam de fazer musica, fazem com a musica o que Pelé fazia com a bola, este video bota as coisas em ordem, os maiores do planeta em música o resto é resto

  • they're both uber baked

  • Man I heard tales about the recording sessions for let it be and the expression on paul's face tells alot. Voices are straining a little too.

  • paul looks like rocky here

  • images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes they call me on and on across the universe. wow

  • Take your refugee wife and her crossword puzzles outside and leave her there. This is business mate, not an aged geisha swap. - Paul McCartney

  • @foxtrotmike where is this quote from?

  • @foxtrotmike No wonder he wrote "how do you sleep". Paul said some shitty ass stuff.

  • harrison´s wah

  • Paul just CAN'T BE FUCKIN' ARSED!

    I know that feeling.

  • @stonegrooved Cheers mate, didn't know that. I know Lennon thought his songs weren't given the same attention as Pauls by George Martin at this time. And he was still moaning that EMI released Hello Goodbye as the single instead of I Am The Walrus in interviews in 1980! Across The Universe had the groupies from outside Abbey Road as backing singers which pissed him of too. I like the version with the sitar on which you can get on YT, but I still think the Let It Be version is best. Cheers again

  • They arent in exactly perfect tune...but this is the only live version we have ..so LET IT BE lol

  • paul looks like hes drunk.

  • Comment removed

  • 2 sides of a coin~

  • Paul is not bored or anything hes just really high

  • john is the man

  • I'm not sure what Yoko thought she was bringing to these sessions. She certainly didn't offer any sort of positive energy (stay home and do your crosswords if you're that bored). Who would want to be around that whenever you're trying to be 'creative'.... Is it any wonder they split up shortly after those sessions.

  • Is this from a dvd or somthing, if so anyone know the title? thanks

  • I'm sorry but not really but John Lennon was the driving for for the beatles. If it wasn't for John there would be no Beatles!

  • @dokken6802, who's idea was Sgt. Pepper? Magical Mystery Tour? Abbey Road? PAUL.

  • @MrZebraZombie but who's songs stood out from those album's? JOHN'S SONGS!

  • @dokken6802

    Not really.

On Abbey Road the most reknown song is even from George. (Something), and all songs by John and Paul and those they made together are excellent.on all those albums you mentioned.

To say which is the best is almost impossible.

I personally always like "Revolver" best, as it is much more straight forward and powerful with a lot of hidden features in the songs.

    Anyone else prefering "Revolver"?

  • @schusterlehrling It's almost a 50-50-- different times and different stages of their musical development. Both are great albums. Revolver seemed to be their pre- Sgt Pepper and getting into psychedelic music and expanding what & how they can record. Abbey Rd was The Beatles at their best and the coming of age of Harrison. To me both albums are about equal for those two different reasons. I guess it winds up being personal tastes.

  • @dokken6802, I think they both their songs from those albums are amazing. Amazing in their own ways. Agreed?

  • @MrZebraZombie

Which songs were the best from each of those?

  • @paranormal33, on Sgt Pepper: Getting Better, LSD, She's leaving Home, Good Morning Good Morning, A Day in the LIfe.

Magical Mystery Tour: Your Mother Should Know, Penny Lane, Hello Goodbye, Strawberry Fields, All You Need Is Love, I Am a Walrus

Abbey Road, I think, is almost perfect. The only dud I can think of is Maxwells Silver Hammer, and even that song is great.

  • @MrZebraZombie

Thanks for your response, but what I really meant was ...what is the best song from each of those albums.

  • @MrZebraZombie

The IDEA of "sgt pepper" didn't materialize until late in the sessions. The mmt MOVIE idea was Paul's, but the music was made by ALL. Abbey Road was not an IDEA, except to make a new album like they used to.

  • i like how out of nowhere they start playing dig a pony.

  • 1:48 to 1:55 you can tell paul's high

  • @jamrush123 I think that was a yawn

  • Comment removed

  • Paul is a musical genius if you want, but John Lennon is a genius, the person.

  • The leader of the band was John.

  • @WiltatKansas no paul

  • @jamrush123 Lol, if you think tha tPaul was the leader of the band so you missed something about The Beatles. Paul was the artistic director since Brian Epstein died, becsaue John and George agreed with it, and you what later happened... but the leader was always John, Paul always needed to ask John about make a next album, Paul had an idea and then he needed John's approval. Fact!

  • @WiltatKansas okay i believe you im sorry =) PEACE

  • @jamrush123 Paul was like a big brother for John, but Paul always needed John's support when he wanted to do a new album or something, they complemented each other like a puzzle. You can call John the moral leader, and Paul the artistic leader, of course. All them were leaders actually.

  • @WiltatKansas thats so the other way around

  • @johnozdemir1 No, that's just like i mentioned, Paul needed John's approval to make the Abbey road, even George Martin asked Paul if John agreed about to make that new album. John was the founder and the soul of the beatles. The other were just members, even more gifted than him but less genius.

  • @jamrush123

If the sun has faded away

I'll try to make it shine

    There's nothing I won't do

If you need a shoulder to cry on

I hope it will be mine

Call me tonight, and I'll come to you.

Nobody could write better lyrics than John.

  • This video is awesome and fun MINUS Yoko.

  • Yoko didnt have the fault is that the beatles in that time had many diferencies and also if they were angry they made 2 great albums at the end imagine if the weren't angry.

Paul was bored because of many exhausting session dind you ever seen the list its enourmous theres one in the wikipedia.

  • Dear John Lennon,

I would just to say thank you for helping me make sense and inspiring me to play and write music... Paul, George, Ringo and yourself sing me to sleep every night. I love you! Rest In peace, you and George both.

    Sincerley Leandra

  • LSD man!!!!

  • for beatles fans most of u guys are just insensitive assholes, you dont even know Yoko and you blame her for the beatles breaking up, besides i dont know why John Lennon would bring her there if he didn;t wnat her there

  • this taugth us that no girls should be allowed in any rehearsal unless is to suck the dicks singer like Pam did with Jim Morrison

  • i beleive that yoko is the reason The best band in the world broke up.

can you imagine The Beatles making more hits in the 70's, 80's, 90's and the 21st century?

i can. but nevermind cause yoko fucked it up

    Beatles forever

    RIP JOHN & GEORGE

  • es la mejor cancion k he escuchado en mi vida!

  • I like this version of Across The Universe the best, the Beatles have been the single most important influence on my music, as they are without a doubt the most influential band of all time.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Yoko, one must remember that she was there because John wanted her there, and the disharmony in the band started long before she came into the picture. Everyone by this stage wanted to pursue their own solo careers anyway.

There were a lot of happy moments in the film too.

  • GET OUT YOKO.

  • que vergaaaaaaa

pinche roloona john era el mejor esos vatos para mi son dioses

  • OMG is Yoko reading the paper? Dude not the time! She shouldn't have been there! Should of left her at home John!

  • Paul DOES look bored! He yawned, I mean seriously... hmmm maybe he's not so big on the song, then again Yoko's sitting right across from him. John whats the matter wit you getting a woman like that. Why I oughta.... oh I'll be nice! I still love you John! R.I.P

  • paul should have been screaming "nothin's gonna change my world" in yoko's face, maybe she would of gotten the message

  • @jhdarcy24 Yea no kidding!

  • haha...imagine this scene in A Hard Day's Night?

  • Look at Yoko right next to them..I'd be pissed too.I wouldnt have have played with her in the studio...Lennon showed alot of disrespect for the band at that time.... dumb c*nt

  • Lmao, Paul is so fricken baked! :D

  • John was strung out on heroin. I wouldn't want to deal with that either.

  • naw they broke up because they were sick of each other, each needing breathing room, and they ended at the right time..

  • @coopercity1 They had good solo careers though. Pauls still at it today! He's touring, was just in Mexico! ^.^

  • thisi s the only live video of the Beatles playing Across the Universe- thye never got to play in in concert- I've been looking for something like this forever- amazing. sadly, the lyrics nothing's gonna change my world shows John was just as stubborn as the others- they all just were too good - creative differences didn't help and was part of their breakup.

  • Paul tried to fuck off the song that day as john said in an interview later.

  • ohhh yeah paul is juuust fucked

  • after many years of playing and trying to survive in a band atmosphere ,I have experienced many rehersals just like this one. With enough unproductive practices a band ceases to exist weather it be because of drugs or egos or personality flaws. When I had an idea and no one else seemed interested, yeah it caused tension...and I believe that is what I just veiwed,Paul would reather be wasted than to listen to John's idea...kinda sad in a way

  • I agree, I think Paul is probably pissed off that Yoko is there 2, isn't she the only Girlfriend/Wife That was actually allowed into the main recorcing room at Abbey Road?

  • @Jonnieyates23 I disagree. He had Linda and little Heather there at the sessions. Paul was an incessant cheerleader at this time, trying to bring some of the magic back...he knew John too well to be pissed...but they were all tired of each other. Today, bands take hiatuses, do solo projects, come back...but such a big deal about the break up, it was hard to go back to band mode. Today they would have been able to do it...Jagger and Richards did it much later. Today it would have been different

  • why does everyone say yoko was the reason the beatles broke up they all said themselves when brian died we started to fall apart

  • They ARE high. Especially McCartney.....He's not uninterested....He's just completely out of it.

  • yoko fucker

  • Damn you can feel the tension. It's a power struggle and this is what ended it all.

  • I want what they had that day!

  • damn...paul looks very...uninterested in playing here lol.

  • I think they're fucking HIGH in that performance...bad version of "across the universe"

  • @CSARAMONE What are you talking about? This is a very cool version to see. Paul's harmony is very awesome to hear.

  • I dont think so,jhon is too fucking high to sing...drugs works to write, not to sing

  • 1:27 shows that john and paul shared a lil' laugh w/ each other. This footage is awesome and i'm sure their crankyness was from the wear n' tear of many takes. My only complaint... YOKO!

    LONG LIVE THE BEATLES!!!:-D

  • they look and sound well mashed, i dig a pony is a great track its always been a favourite.

  • i love this footage but i can't stand yoko being there , sorry but that is what i feel . the beatles are in my heart since i had 2 years ... long long time ago hehe

  • Paul looks really uncomfortable here, showing signs of the end of "The Beatles"

  • yeah his beard is cool

  • paul's got a cool beard wish i had one like it

  • haha i love Paul's expression in the beginning when John is talking.

  • @NbaRapLover yes lol

  • Comment removed

  • i like this version because it shows the song stripped down even more because they're still working it out in the studio.

you could say this clip shows why they broke up. paul is yawning away at two new songs that john is quite excited about.

  • Do you all realize what you are able to witness? It's like being able to see Debussey work on "Claire de Lune..."

  • Paul looks super bored. Probably tired of Yoko being between him and John while they are trying to work out a song :)

  • lol he probebly was :D

  • @shatfick If you want to see bored, watch George as they run through Maxwell's Silver Hammer

  • @shatfick Yeah. He looks bored as hell.

  • @shatfick paul is not bored.. is just stoned xD

  • @g33kL Haha, I thought that as well. Looks completely rubbered lol.

  • @shatfick That whole Yoko breaking up the Beatles was more British media interfering with Johns relationship. It was (much like Diana later) a persecution that forced him to move to New York. The dirty secret of John & Yoko is the British media and public choked him. And ultimately he paid for it with his life. Yoko Ono is was and is a seriously respected artist in her own right. Arguably John and Yoko were one of the 20th century's leading love affairs unlike the homoerotic one you point to ;)

  • What did John mean when he said put em down? Who was he talking to??

  • really this is a good song... but this here sounds like shit...

  • 0:46 SLOWING DOWN!!!!

  • i can't understand how ppl could say they hate this version. its not even a version, this is the band's studio session producing the song. actually considering half the band is dead and john lennon was a master i find this fascinating. we get to see them putting together 1 of my favorite beatles songs. now to find a clip like this for she's a woman.

  • I hate this version it sounds like they're drunk.

  • What's the number one thing in the world?

    Acid?

No love, let's sing a song about love.

  • two points:

    1) the beatles are the greatest band ever. Simply amazing.

    2) there is nothing duller than being in a studio watching a band put a song together.

  • exellent video

  • YUP! They were high (as a kite)!

  • Paul's an asshole in this, he has no interest in what John's saying or the songs at all

  • put em down lol

  • :47

pauls mouth is still funny 5 days later!

  • they were so high xD

  • HIGH AS A FUCKING KITE

  • pauls mouth is funny!

  • What's that yellow thing doing in the room?

This is a question for men - so kiss off women tag alongs.

Have you ever been with the guys or wanted to and someone pulls out the "me too" bitch that no one can comfortably say "Get the phuck out of here - go home and bake something , play with a cat until your man come home to service you. You have no business with us.!!!!

    Poor Beatles

    John had some nerve

  • I hate to see Paul being an arrogant ass since I love the guy, but it's pretty obvious here. I want to say to him, "dude, you would be the greatest musician of ALL TIME if not for the gentleman in the room with you who you're not taking seriously." John complained later that they were more experimental with his songs and more serious with Paul's on Let It Be, and it shows. I don't blame him for being upset. BUT...I thought John's songs ended up perfect on Let It Be, they were as good as Paul's.

  • @superman11978 In my opinion the greatest is John Lennon simply becsaue the other two Paul and George reached his highest level playing with John, after the beatles John showed that he was the best single songwriter of them all (the only singer songwriter in fact), the other were ex beatles, John was John.

  • why was yoko sitting in there... im sure everyone one was uncomfortable with her there

  • fuck yoko. shes the reason they broke up

  • They broke off because all things must cease at one point or another. What do you know about anything?

  • what the fuck are you talking about. your a real piece of shit

  • Exactly. You know nothing.

  • YES. I don't think Paul was being arrogant as much as just uncomfortable (as anyone would) with having Yoko sitting right there. It's uncalled for. I mean do most guys bring their wife to work with them and have them sit next to them judging everyone?

  • please! our 'wives' are what? How 1950's you are, American, no doubt. How we thought we wanted to be you when we were kids. Silly or what?

  • Yeah, that is silly. You should be content to be yourself. "American, no doubt." LOL. You're a fucking cliche.

  • That was Yoko?I thought that was a dog....

  • you made me laugh so hard when i read you comment!!!

  • lol thanks i guess

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @TOYOTApwnsNISSAN

    Wow, very mature!

  • annd they have like a deal that they can't bring their wives during recordings. maybe he's uncomfortable.

    <3paul

  • is there a way i can download or get this version? i love the drums and paul in the back.

  • when is the Let it Be DVD coming out ???

  • Hi~I'm Korean^^

  • put em down 00:46 beatles one of the best best bands ever

  • paul looks like he's going to cry. and yoko looks like that bitch from the grude!

  • I love The Beatles! They rock!!!!!

  • two amazing songs in the making by 4 amazing guys, playing their instruments amazingly, and singing amazingly. whats not to love about this video?
